The Night Before Forever.
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. And now was indeed a time to love... ** . It was a dark, vast land with no beginning or ending. Two women stood in the middle of this infinite landscape. One had silver eyes, while the other had brown eyes. The woman with silver eyes spoke to the other, her voice uncanny "The majesty has disappeared., He vanished from the underworld" The other woman's eyes widened in shock. "What? Why did he leave? Where did he go to...?" She paused, a puzzled expression on her face. "Did he go to the other world? And what do you mean by 'vanished?" "Even though the lord do disappears from his palace, we still feel his choking presence, even to the other world or anywhere in the varsity, we will still feel his presence." "I know" The woman with the silver eyes heaved . "But now I'm hearing from the chiefs and the other generals that he went to Earth." The other woman's eyes narrowed. "Did he? Did he come to Earth to kill those other demons who escaped to the human realm?" The woman with silver eyes hesitated. "I'm not sure, because the lord was doing something important, and he is someone who won't leave or disappear while doing something important. He never mentioned coming back to Earth to bring back or punish the escaped demons." She frowned, deep in thought. "Even if he was to punish them, he would send the generals. What is his work? I think someone summoned him." The woman's voice dropped to a whisper. "Someone summoned him." The other woman's eyes widened, and she looked up at the vast sky. "I'm scared," the woman with brown eyes whispered, her voice trembling. The woman with silver eyes turned to her, a hint of concern etched on her face. "What's wrong?" "If someone summoned him, that means...," the brown-eyed woman trailed off, her eyes wide with fear. The silver-eyed woman's expression turned grave. "I think the prophecy is coming to pass." The brown-eyed woman's eyes locked onto hers, filled with a mix of fear and dread. "And after the prophecy comes to pass...one of them will surely die." Her voice dropped to a whisper. "But it must not be the Lord. It can't be the Lord." "I don't mind him killing all of the escaped demons, including me," the brown-eyed woman said, her voice laced with conviction. "But him dying...the balance of the underworld will go out of balance." The silver-eyed woman's expression turned cold. her eyes gleaming with a hint of understanding. "You're right. If the Lord falls, the underworld will plunge into chaos. The demons will run amok, and the mortal realm will be at risk of destruction." EARTH. "...so it's your birthday today..." He said, his eyes glowing red like embers fueled by crimson blood. I stood at the edge of the city, the cold wind biting at my skin. Snow piled up around the highway, weighing heavily on the roofs. I could feel my throat freezing with each breath, my ribs sore from the biting cold. As a human, I had no control over the weather. But that didn't matter to me, since I was among the quarter of humans who didn't believe in the supernatural. No ghosts, fairy tales, demons, or magical beings for me. The world was vast and full of wonder, with so many things to explore, styles to try, and dishes to taste. I had better things to do with my time than waste it on fantasies. I could still remembered the smell of freshly baked cookies and homemade mac and cheese, my favorite. It was just like any other birthday of mine. Or maybe not? "Happy birthday to you... Happy birthday to you... Happy birthday... Happy birthday... to you... Reilah." My family of four, including me, sang in unison, our faces lit up with joy. I smiled, my eyes filled with loving affection mixed with a hint of sadness. I had been dumped just a day ago. Sometimes I wished love wasn't a thing. I wished I hadn't given my heart out, couldn't control it like I wished, not giving it to some moth_rf_*er who would trample on it before returning it with a sore wound. "Make a wish..." My dad said, lighting the candles. I nodded, leaning in closer to the cake, my eyes fluttering closed. That evening, I made a wish, one that might seem foolish, but I couldn't help myself. "I wish for a man beyond the ordinary," I whispered to myself. "A man who will love me with the same passion and devotion as a Disney prince. When he comes around, I promise to love him with every fiber of my being - my soul, my body, and everything else I have." I opened my eyes and smiled wistfully, knowing my wish was an impossible feat. I blew out the candles, watching my family clap as the smoke dispersed. "What did you wish for, sister Reilah?" My six-year-old sister Peach asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. I ruffled her hair, almost swayed away by her cuteness. "If I tell you, it won't come true." Peach pouted, her cold nose red as a rose. "But I want to know." My dad, Gregor, intervened, carrying little Peach into his arms. "It's a secret, my angel." My dad is a gentle soul, always calm and loving. He's my guardian angel, always rescuing me from Peach's curious and mischievous ways. You'll get to know her antics better later. Unlike me, my dad is a saint. If a bee stung him, he'd just smile and let it go. Me? I'd be the one seeking revenge - let's just say I'd be doing some 'bee grilling'!. ...... As the night passed into the morning, I drifted off to sleep, unaware of the events that would unfold. It was 3:00 AM... THE DEVIL HOUR. I was asleep - a few borders away from heaven, wrapped snugly in my duvet, just the way I liked it. But my peaceful slumber was shattered by a sudden, biting gust of wind that sent shivers down my spine. The cold air was bitter, freezing water before it even hit the floor. I trembled like a sick, abandoned dog as the chill swept through my room, carrying the scent of winter. I slowly opened my eyes, feeling tired, cold, heartbroken, and exhausted. Summoning all my strength, I dragged myself out of bed, my legs stiff and uncooperative. "It's freezing," I whispered, my voice barely audible. I gripped the bedpost tightly, my legs feeling like lead weights as I took tentative steps forward. "I hate this..." I mumbled, trudging zombie-like towards the faint glow emanating from the city outside my window. As I gazed out, a shiver ran down my spine. Something was off. My instincts screamed at me to trust them. I distinctly remembered closing the window before bed, yet it now stood wide open, letting in the biting cold. Heaps of snow filled the window frame, as if the night itself had seeped into my room. A sense of unease settled in. More work to do by morning, I thought, trying to shake off the feeling of dread that was slowly creeping over me. A dark shadow emerged from the void, engulfing my room in inky blackness. "Thump! Thump! Thump! Thump!" My heart pounded. Was it an eclipse? Or another natural disaster? "Thum-P! Thum-P! Thu-MP! Th-UMP!" My heart throbbed harder. A dark figure emerged from the shadows, giving off a familiar presence. "Hello, Mi Amor," he whispered, his low, husky voice caressing my ear. . . . In that instant, I knew that if this wasn't a lucid dream, my world would never be the same.
