I was still waiting for Bray's return letter, it had been several days and things hadn't improved. Every time I saw Colette, I wanted to claw her eyes from her skull.
While I waited, I began packing my belongings, secretly hiding my luggage in the walk-in under coats, and giving away items I not longer wanted or needed.
''What are you doing?'' Zain asked, and I jumped and spun around.
I'd been tossing trinkets and teddies into a box, mostly ones my mates had given me. I hated that my heart fluttered when I saw him. I hated that my Lycan Ada started wagging her tail at his proximity.
''I'm getting rid of these things.'' I answered and turned back to the cabinet.
''I thought you loved this?'' He said, as he picked up a small blue bear.
I stared at it with indifference, shrugged and continued to toss my belongings.
''What's with the desire to clean?'' He asked, ''Are you finally going to move into mine or Kai's rooms?''
''Why would I do that?'' I asked him, ''Wouldn't that get in the way of you two sneaking in and out of your wh*res room?''
''Siri, please don't, I.''
''What do you want?'' I spun around and grabbed the bear from his hands and threw it back into the box.
He took a deep breath, ''Kai and I wanted to see if you'd like to spend the day with us at the beach. I know we haven't spent much time together this week since everything went down.''
''Yeah, you seem real cut up about that.'' I rolled my eyes and turned my back on him, ''However, I'm not interested. I'm spring cleaning.''
''Come on, Siri,'' He walked around the box on the ground, and touched my arm.
The bond erupted over my skin, but I pulled back, ''Don't touch me.''
''I'm sorry,'' He said sadly, and I nearly caved at his pain, ''I hate this. I hate that you hate us. I hate that we hurt you. We love you Sirena. We always have. This child changes nothing. We want the baby, not Colette.''
I reached out and touched my face, and we looked into each other's eyes. No. Don't fall for it. He's neglected you for over a week. He got another woman pregnant. He moved her into our home even though he didn't know it was his kid, which I doubted it was.
When he leaned in to kiss me, like I'd always dreamed, I felt repulsed and pulled away.
''I'm busy,'' I told him angrily, ''Please go.''
''You're angry that we're not spending time together, but when we want to, you push us away,'' Zain complained, ''All I'm asking for is one day, we'll show you how much we care.''
I bit my lip, Ada was pleading with me to go, to give them a second chance, but I wasn't sure. I'd already decided to leave, I couldn't stay now, not after this pregnancy. Spending time with them would only confused things.
''PLEASE!'' Ada begged.
I exhaled ''Fine, lets go to the beach.''
''Yes, thank you,'' Zain smiled and pulled me in. He kissed my cheek, ''Go change into your bikini, the smaller, the better,'' He added and winked, ''I'll go change and tell Kai, we'll meet you downstairs.''
''Okay,'' I said and went over to my cupboard.
I quickly changed into my two piece, before slipping a summer dress over top, I then packed a bag of clothing and placed my towel over my shoulder.
When I walked downstairs, I saw my mates waiting there, both in shorts, both revealing their muscular-tanned bodies.
''There she is,'' Kai smiled at me, the same smile I'd fallen in love with growing up.
''Are you ready?'' Zain asked, as I reached them.
''Yep,'' I nodded, as Colette walked in holding shopping bags. I see she was enjoying the twins bank accounts.
''Hi,'' She greeted us, and I suppressed the urge to punch her. ''I go the cutest baby clothes, let me show you.''
I exhaled, and the twins looked at me for a moment, ''Maybe later,'' Kai told her, ''We're going on a beach date.''
''Oh,'' She looked at me, ''I'm so glad you're all getting along.''
''I'm sure you are,'' I glared at her, ''Can we go please?''
''Sure, see you later Colly,'' Zain said, giving her a stupid nickname.
As we turned to leave, Colette moaned in pain and dropped all the bags she was holding. When we turned back to her, she was doubled over, clutching her stomach, and moaning dramatically.
''Colette!'' Kai shouted, as the twins looked panicked, and rushed to her side.
''What's wrong?'' Zain asked as he touched her stomach.
''I don't feel well, something's wrong.'' She lied, how were they falling for this sh*t?'
"She's sick," Kai said, his voice tight. "We have to get her to the hospital."
They didn't even look at me as Kai lifted her from the ground, and just rushed her out of the pack house, leaving me standing there holding my bag and beach towel.
I growled and kicked one of the bags, causing lingerie to fall out, ''Yeah, she got baby clothing.'' I snarled to Ada, and stomped back up the stairs.
It wasn't that I didn't care about the innocent child, it was just that I knew the b***h was lying. There was nothing wrong with the kid, and even if there was, this kid wasn't theirs.
I went back to my room, and continued to pack until late into the evening, when I heard my mates coming home. I quickly rushed to hide my newly packed bags, before laying down and pretending I'd been reading all day.
It wasn't long before there was a knock on my door, and someone pushed it open.
''Siri?'' Kai called out, but didn't come into the room.
''Yes?''
''We just want to say we're so sorry,'' Zaid told me, ''We kind of left you standing, we just got really worried about the baby, but fortunately he's fine.''
''Glad to hear it,'' I said, as I flipped the page.
''Maybe we could make it up to you and go tomorrow,'' Kai suggested.
''No, I'm fine,'' I shrugged, ''Colette will just have another fake emergency, and you'll ditch me.''
''She wasn't faking anything.'' Kai defended her.
''If you say so,'' I answered, before I peeked up from my book, ''Do you mind giving me some privacy? I'm trying to study.''
The twins looked annoyed, ''Fine,'' Kai growled, ''You know what, why don't you come to us when you grow up.''
''Why don't you two grow up and stop being so pathetic,'' I snapped back, ''True Alpha's can't get manipulated by trash. I can't wait for you to find out she is lying about you two being the father. I can't wait to tell you, I told you so.''
''You never used to be so cold.'' Zain shook his head at me, before closing the door.
