Chapter 1 (ODEON, AT THE PALACE) Writer's Pov A young girl could be seen kneeling before the throne in front of the Queen, she knelt there pleading for mercy but the queen was not ready to listen to her pleas. The young girl kneeling was Annabella, she was accused of trying to poison the Queeen, which was a great taboo in the kingdom. "Your highness, i swear i know nothing about this, i was framed i was not the one that poisoned your food" Annabella pleaded with the Queen, "will u shut that dirty mouth of yours, are your trying to say that my daughter was telling lies that she saw you poisoning the food?" the Queen yelled back at her, "after your mother died i took good care of you,i treated you like you were my daughter but this is how you choose to repay me right?" the Queen continued, "your highness please hear me out, i wasnt the one,i would never do such, please hear me out" Annabella begged again,the people that were with them in the throne room who were waiting for the Queen to pronounce her judgement on Annabella started murmuring , glaring and saying hateful words at Annabella as she knelt there in tears not knowing what else to say,"this is my judgement,for poisoning my food Annabella, you are here by sentenced to death by hanging tomorrow morning at the market square, this will serve as an example to other people like you, guards take her away and lock her up in the darkest dungeon" the Queen said, and with that, she left the throne room while the guard took Annabella away even though she was yelling and begging for mercy it all fell on deaf ears,no one listened to her,they all left each one of them saying bad things about her,things like >> serves her right >> she got exactly what she deserves >> who would have thought she can think of killing someone with how innocent she looks >> lookes are so deceptive Till they all left the place. Annabella's pov Is this how am going to die? i sat down on the cold flour in the dungeon thinking about everything that has happened in my life, i dont think i have ever been happy in my entire life, that woman(the Queen) have alwaysmade my life hellish in that palace but still claimed she has always treated me well which is a lie, she never did, to others outside it was like she treated me will but she doesn't, she makes me serve her daughter like am a maid in the palace, always calling my mother names, she told me my mother was dead and will sometimes ask me why i dont die with her,(my mother). The Queen's daughter Luna, even though am much older than her, talks to me anyhow, she was even the one that testified that she saw me poisoning her mother's food which i never did, i dont try to kill her, i would never do that, but now here am i, about to be killed over something i dont do, but i dont want to die, i have never felt the wormeth of motherly love,Who will save me? >>FLASH BACK I could still remember the day i got chosen as the keeper of the staff, before then, i was still treated a bit fairly even though the hatred the Queen and her daughter had for me was still a bit obvious. It got more worst that day and am still wondering why i got chosen. Everyone was present at the palace hall as the priestes performed the rituals normally done for the crown princess which was Luna, she was dressed looking very beautiful, the rituals is for her to be able to keep the staff as the crown princess she is but surprisedly when the priestes told her to pick up the staff she couldn't, instead the staff threw her very far away making every one surprised. Then the staff pointed its light in my direction and the priestes told me to come forward and take the staff and i took it, its weight was very light making me wonder how it threw Luna away, the next sentence the priestes said snapped me of of my thought "fellow citizens of Odeon,this is the keeper of the staff,which also means she is now the crown princess" "Says who, how dare u call this stinking girl the crown princess of thr kingdom? when i and my daughter is still very much alive, how dare you" the Queen yelled at the priestes "your highness this is not my choice, it is the heavens choice " the priestes said calmly "darm you and that your stupid heavens" the Queen said and stormed out of the palace hall. Since then Luna has been calling me a thief saying i stole her place and treating me like am a trash. >>BACK TO PRESENT I was still sitting down there and lost in thought when the door suddenly got oppend,and i got scared thinking its the Queen but it turns out to be Luna who came in with a smirk on her face, "this is exactly what i want, now you are going to die, and i will be left alone with my staff, i will rule this kingdom not you" she said laughing crazily "so this is about the staff? you know if you want the staff that badly i will give it to you, but why do u have to tell lies agaist me? i never offended you or did i? y did you want me dead" i yelled at her in frustration " oh baby u are crying? dont you get it you have to die so that that staff will belong to me, that staff can never be mine if you dont die, just die and leave the staff alone for me" she said and with that she left me inside the prison. And i sat down there and continued crying. Then after sometimes the door opend again , and thought it was still Luna i looked up ready to yell at her to leave but it turns out to be someone else "get up we need to get out of here right now, am sure you dont want to die, or do you"? the person asked, and i stand up still wondering why she came to rescue me.
