I reached for Sage’s right hand and held it in mine with our fingers intertwined; I could feel my heart racing; I wanted to spend the remaining nights with her. I looked up at the castle at the window of Odette’s room; I saw a silhouette; it seemed like she was hugging that strange man. I decided to mind my business and only think about Sage; she was blushing like a child as I led her away, walking past Eric and Jake, who were staring at us with jealous eyes. Jake gave me two thumbs up with his hand, smiling from ear to ear. Leo was nowhere to be found, so I guess he was with his friend.
I started climbing the marble stairs that lead to the rooftop with Sage, still holding onto her hand as we climbed side by side.
