Rise of The Royals

Angelina's POV - I woke up to the chirping of two love birds by my window. I looked at them for a moment. They're so adorable.. caressing each other's feathers, locking their beaks like they are kissing... How cute! I didn't know I was watching them for a while, smiling, till my alarm went off. It's already 5.30 am! Usually in our pack, training starts at 7. But, I always try to reach an hour before everyone, to have a quite time warming up on my own. Ofcourse, I love training with my other pack members. But, I feel a little discontent about all of it. Day by day, I can feel a strange surge of energy growing inside me. I just wanna try and see how hard I can go. I was better than the best warriors in my pack. The only one who can raise a challenge against me is Nathan, my older brother, our future Alpha.. Everyday, after our one-on-one combat training, he would say, "Girl!.. one day you gonna beat me up too. I wonder if I have to give away my Alpha title to you..". He smack my head and walk away with a smile. But, I know he is so proud of me for being this strong and so much for how badass a fighter I have become. Not just him, everyone in the pack loves and respects me, for not just being the Alpha's daughter, but for something more which I don't even know.. I always had a good record in the academics. I have been a consistent A grade student in my class, not on the top, but obviously, among the best five. I thank my genes for this. My father, Alpha Robert, is always well-known for his intelligence and great leadership among the werewolves world. Actually, he is the head of a council that includes many other strong Alphas worldwide, which works for the wellbeing of whole werewolf community. My grandfather held this position before, and since he passed, my father was endowed with it afterwards. He is a noble, loving and kind leader and everybody loves him with no doubts. He has given refuge to more than 300 rogue wolves, who are now happily living with their families in our pack village. My mother, Luna Ellen, is also a warrior in our pack. At her very age, she is still the lead trainer of our pack, especially for the ladies and kids. I heard that before, she was also an Alpha herself in her home pack, the Red Crescent pack, but had to give away her title when she met her mate, my father. She is the only child of Alpha David, my grandpa, the previous Alpha of their pack. She was meant to take the title from him, but had to leave her pack when she was brought to Silver Moon, by my dad. Her Alpha title was then given to my grandpa's brother's son, Alpha Jonathan, or uncle Jon, as I call. So, technically speaking, she's not just a Luna, but an Alpha by herself. So, adding up those two Alpha bloods, you can imagine, their kids won't be any less. Well, I think I talked more than enough, without introducing myself properly... I am Angelina Rob Carlos, by the way.. my parents and near ones call me Angel, and my besties call me EL.. I'm 17 years old and will be 18 soon, the becoming age of all werewolves, in 4 months. I have two brothers, Nathan, the elder one, is 21 and is yet to find his mate. My younger brother is Nicholas, we call him Nick. He is 15 years old, and is definitely the pain in my a** brother.. My besties include Catherine, Evelyn and Sierra. Cathy and Evie are my childhood friends from my own pack, but, Sierra just joined us 1 year ago and is from the Cold Moon pack. They moved near to our territory, ofcourse my father offered them the land, due to increased rogue issues in their previous place. They are now our closest acquaintance and very loyal to our pack. Their Alpha is Sierra's father, Simon Wulfred and their Luna is her mother, Jenna. Sierra has an elder brother, their future Alpha, Samuel and a younger sister, Zoe, who is 14 now. Cathy, Evie, Sierra and me are the bestest of friends and we're inseparable. We hangout a lot, ofcourse in our pack territory, as I'm not allowed to go out because of my crazy loving parents. Duhh.. when they will admit I'm strong enough to defend myself.. But, we have no complaints.. Our pack is large enough to include two shopping malls, numerous restaurants of different cuisines from worldwide, an amusement park, five movie theatres, and a lot of shops and street vendors. It's actually a township situated at a clearing of thick woods, surrounded by lush forest, across the bank of Black river near Watertown city. Whatever we need, it's right there in our village. We mostly hangout in the movie theatres and shopping malls and does few street shoppings. I'm kinda chirpy and energetic, but a lot like a homie girl, ofcourse. As is Cathy and Evie. Cathy is bit more sassy and fun-loving. She loves flirting with random guys, but never got locked into anyone beyond a night. Evie is more like an I-am-so-full-of-myself type girl and she always say, the One made for her is absolutely not just any ordinary man. She's ofcourse waiting for her extraordinary mate to start on her lovelife. Crazy girls of mine... Wherever we are, people can't hear a thing around us except our yells. However, Sierra is our exact opposite even though she loves to hangout with us and enjoy it so much.. She's bit quieter and loves reading books and journals most of the time. She became the second top scorer of our school within a year after she joined. First being Nathan, ofcourse, before he left the school for his higher studies. He is now doing his major in Law at Harvard law school and will be graduating soon. We all are waiting for his Big graduation day and into welcoming him back home!.. It's been 3 years my brother was away from home and except for some short vacations, I haven't got to be with him for so long.. Not to say, I miss him a lot... I don't know how long I was standing looking at my reflection on the bathroom mirror, lost in thoughts.. I quickly snapped out of it and brushed my teeth. I slipped into one of my gym suit and pulled a sweater over it. I hurried down to the kitchen to grab a hot cup of coffee to get rid of the chill inside. There was omegas all around in the kitchen running and prepping for breakfast. I can smell the delicious croissants they are baking in the oven.. I feel like my mouth watering for a bit and made a mental note to myself to grab some of it after training.. Time passed quickly.. It was already 6 AM when I reached the training area. There was a slightly cold breeze chilling the outdoor area which is actually size of two football grounds. The indoor has gym, combat ring and other equipments for training inside. As it is chilling outside, I just opt to go indoors. After half hour to training, I felt a presence behind me across the seating area. I know someone was watching me. But he made no move to come forward, so I have to turn around and see who it is even though I have a guess who might it be. Alexander Levin. Our beta Alfred's second son. His elder brother Alaric will be our future beta when Nathan takes over the pack as Alpha. Alex is tall and has a very well-built body with strong jawline and coffee-brown blonde hair. Every she-wolf in our pack go head over heels with him. He can allure any girl in the world by just his slightly hooded, hazel colored eyes. But I'm not just one among these.. He better knew it by now since I haven't shown any interest on him as such. 'Why are you staring at me, Alex hmm?', I asked him slightly narrowing my eyes, pretending to catch him red-handed. 'Huh? Was I?', he said with his signature smirk on his face. Ughh, he never back off. He is trying to play with me now and I have no interest in continuing. It's not like I hate him, but I can't play along with this. Ever since we learnt about mates and how strong that bond is, me and my friends decided to save ourselves for our mates until we meet them. There were lots of stories where guys and girls go fooling around in their younger ages and then face lots of problems later when they meet their true mates. I don't want any of them in my life.. my first everything should be with my mate.. I had promised this to myself long ago. 'Oh Alex, don't start again with that..' I raised my hand in air like I don't care about it anymore. 'Seriously EL, why are you so hard to play with..', he tilted his head sideways to look into my eyes. 'You know I'm not that bad guy whom you can't get along with..' He smiled mischievously with his eyes twinkling. I can't help but look at it for a while, until I noticed he was smirking at me again. I can't lose it to him. 'Alex.. I'm not playing with you okk.. I just don't wanna turn our friendship to anything else. Yes, you are not a bad guy. In fact, you are too good', I winked at him back with the most wicked smile I can muster. He laughed on that and shook his head surrendering. 'Okay I got it.. Now, just wanna ask you if you would like to be my date... to Cold Moon Alpha daughter's birthday party.. Sierra is your friend right? You must be going..', he said the last part more like a question. 'Oh yes, definitely I'm going. But, Alex, you know my parents. They won't allow me to cross the border without guards or themselves.. I'm so sorry.. And yeah, Alpha Simon has also invited my parents and I'll be going with them only..', I sound like a kid now.. ughhh literally I'm one.. 'Okay.. cool it, no worries', he just winked and went to the ground. I followed him behind and saw other members already lined up to start the warmups. We usually start with 2 rounds of run along the training grounds before our daily practice. Gamma Jacob Black, Evie's dad, and our head warrior, Henry Shaw, Cathy's dad, were seen at the front of the group, leading and instructing on today's session. By 8 am, the training was over and I headed back to my room to have a quick shower again. On my way, like I planned earlier, I grabbed two of those delicious looking croissants from the kitchen and went to get ready for my school. We have planned so much for today, it's Sierra's 18th birthday!!
