Chapter 5 Jonathan rolled to the far side of the bed, struggling for breath. He could see now. That was a start. The world remained bathed in darkness, but it was more than just black. Things had outlines. Chair, table, television, discarded sock. Everywhere he looked, he could see something. Something was better than nothing. What time was it? Had he slept?
