Hello Friend

I got up after the nightmare. Blinked few times to make my vision clear and I noticed I’m still in Mia’s room, I tried getting up from the couch, it wasn’t difficult but a bit painful.

YES, Werewolf’s heals faster than human but in my case it was the fourth day of my incident with Laurence, I was still in pain because a person’s wolf heals him/her, but my wolf was weak just like me and she can’t do that now. She did healed me quickly when we just met but since Laurence started harming us more and due to staying captive in silver chains my wolf nearly left me. She is still there and I can feel her but not active much or powerful enough to heal me quickly.

With my thoughts still in mind I got up from couch and started moving towards the bathroom in basement. I saw myself in the broken mirror hanging over the wall and all I could see was how sorry I was for my own self. My lips were cracked, eyes were swollen, my face was gone pale and my hair were unwashed and stinky. I quickly undressed myself and took a cold shower, washed my hair with the available shampoo and conditioner and let them dry themselves, I took the kitchen uniform hanging there and put it on. I gave myself a nod that at least now I’m not looking horrible although my face was still pale and crooked lips, eyes were still puffy but at least my hair were straight and I was looking fresh. After finishing this I combed and tied my hair into a loose pony, so that they can get dry and I can still work in kitchen.

I then proceeded myself towards kitchen and met Mia, I gone towards her and gave a smile and to its reply she gave me an angry look, though fake angry look I could easily see how happy and relaxed she was looking at me.

Mia : Mae, why the hell are you here?

Mae : I was feeling fine and bored in room alone without you, looking at the time I thought you won’t come early and to meet you, I have to come to search you. Guess I caught you. (I said with a childish smile on face, I swear I saw her smiling too but she suppressed it soon enough)

Mia : No you are not allowed here, you are still not fine and go to the room instead, I will meet you there in 3 hours.

I gave my best puppy face to her : Please don’t make me leave you know you are my prince in amour to save me how will I manage in there without you.

She chuckled to it and gave me a playful look : No you won’t leave but you are not gonna work too. I’ll make the feast for pack and you are gonna sit on the stool now.

But I can really help, I said

Mia : Katie Mae you either are gonna sit on stool or go back to basement and I’ll lock it and won’t let you come out till I want. Which one you want?

Here I knew I’m not gonna win win, so I gave up.

[Sigh]

Fine I’ll sit here, but if you need any help I’m right here. (I said with a visible bright smile)

Mia chuckled over it and again said me not to move.

The breakfast was now done and I was roaming in pack park with Mia, she was making me walk so that I can be back on my feet without any pain. As we were going I heard a low growl behind us and we turned our face to see who came. The face was not visible due to the bright light of sun. So we asked.

Me : Hey, may I help you?

PERSON : Of course you can kitten, I’m looking for you since 2 days already.

Me : (I instantly knew who he was, it was my best buddy Xavier Black) Xavier is that really you?

I asked with a cracked voice because my throat was full and my eyes were about to shed some happy tear now.

Xavier : Yes it’s obviously me. Who else on earth can call you Kitten without my permission kitten.?

I couldn’t control myself anymore and instantly ran in his arms, he gave a friendly hug and pat my back. He was there with me since childhood and he always wanted to be my real big brother if only moon goddess could be kind to us. But this was the first day since we met after he was gone for the pack warrior training . Also, the first day since I got my wolf too, I was secretly wishing that my wolf will now recognize him as the security we have now and now come back I miss her now. But seems like that was not my fate. I stepped away from him and was still crying. I was happy and missed him so much, then I remembered that Mia i still there with us, I instantly gone to her and got her hand practically dragging her towards Xavier, I was about to introduce them when I heard a low growl

Xavier: [growl] MINE.

Mia : MINE.

I couldn’t believe my ears the two best friends of mine were mates? Yes, yes they were!!!!! Oh moon goddess I can’t be any more happy then today, although Mia definitely deserved him but it was still a surprise to me. Mia was an orphan since her whole life, her mother died giving birth to her and her father couldn’t stand staying without his mate, since then Mia was in pack orphan.Also Mia got humiliation all her life that she is the reason of death of her parents. Now, I could’t resist myself and gave Mia a bear hug.

Me : Oh moon goddess!!!! I love you I love you I love you Mia, you are the best and now you are the mate of my best friend. My two best friends are now couple. OH MY MOON GODDESS. You made me the happiest Mia. I love yoooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuuuu. 

Mia gave me chuckle and Xavier behind us was laughing now.

Xavier : Okay kitten let my mate go I also deserves a hug from her now.

Mia got red as tomato by Xavier’s comment. Xavier came near to Mia and I released her from my deadly bear hug.

Xavier : Hii... I'm Xavier Black.

Mia : Hii... Mia Johnson.

Xavier : So seem like we are mates.

Mia : Yes we are.

Xavier and Mia standing close and awkwardly talking to which I got bored.

Me : Oh shut up you two. (With that I pushed Mia towards Xavier and she crashed in his arms. Xavier instantly crashed a kiss to Mia and I closed my eyes with my palms and turned away to give the their moment )

Xavier : (Laughing over my act) Hey kitten we are finished and now you can turn.

Me : Yeah good. (With that I turned and gave Mia another hug )

Xavier (Low growl) : MINE !!!

(Me and Mia chuckled)

Me : Yes yes big boy she is all yours but she is my only best friend here and she is gonna be with the most idiotic wolf in the world let me make her ready for that.

Xavier : Heeeeeeyyyyyyyy !!!!!!! I’m your best friend. Did I got demoted from the position now ?

(Xavier gave us a confusing look )

Me : Yes! And now she is my best friend and your mate. Oh my god Xavier you have no idea what a real gem you got as a mate.

Mia blushed with my statement, gave me a look and a consoling smile

Mia : I hope Mae you get your mate soon. I hope you become the queen you deserves.

(With that I gave her my best fake smile as I knew Laurence will never allow me to get close to my mate. I flushed the thought and hoped them both in a hug again)

Me : This moment is nothing about me and its about you two. I don’t know about my mate but yours is an i***t and Xavier Black I dare you if you ever hurt this pretty lady I’ll kick your butt, tie you in silver chain and make you regret and sorry for hurting her the slightest. Do you get that mister ?

Xavier : I would never hurt her I promise kitten. She’ll be my queen and I’ll give my rest of life trying my best to give her every happiness she deserves and also which she ever dream about. She will always be the one and only for me and I pledge over my life I will never let anything happen to her in any condition.

(With this proposal Mia blushed harder and gave us a shy look)

Me : You better should. Now let’s talk business.

(I broke the hug and gave them both a real serious look)

Mia: BUSINESS ??

Me : Yes.

Xavier : And what is it kitten?

Me : I want you two to get a legal marriage and I will be the Bride’s Maid. (I gave them my best puppy eyes now ) PLLLLLLEEEEEEEAAAAASSSSSEEEEEEEE!!! (I elongated “PLEASE” as much as I could)

(With that please I gave them the curious look, they both chuckled to this)

Xavier ( Took Mia in his embrace by pulling her with her waist) : SO, mate? Do you Mia Johnson do the honor to me Xavier Black and tie a knot with me for lifetime and after. ?

Mia (Tears of happiness rolling from her eyes gave a nod) : YES YES YES.. I will be always with you.

Me (Jumping up and down life a 10 year kid) : Yes yes yes I’ll be the bride’s maid in your marriage. Can I be that please?????? (I forgot all the pain and bruise I had in that collected moment)

Mia : of course Mae. Who else do I have except you.

(As if it was on his que Xavier instantly said)

Xavier : ME.

(Mia chuckled)

ME : I told you, you have an i***t to handle now. Black she was saying it metaphorically

(Xavier gave us a fake angry look and we burst in laugh)

Xavier then noticed my face it had all the buries still visible, to which he instantly asked : What happened Kitten?

I on the other side keeping the environment calm gave him a fake smile : Oh I fell off the stairs at home and got my face crooked.

Mia was about to tell the truth to which I squeezed her hand in mine and pleading her not to say anything with that she gave me an serious angry look and released her hand and told everything to him.

Xavier : No one can hurt my little sister and for heaven’s sake Katie Mae stop protecting that w***e now.

ME : Xavier relax, big guy. Don’t worry it’s just nothing and you know my wolf will heal it. I’l be good in no matter of time.

Xavier growled hard this time : YOU LITTLE SIS STOP GETTING INTO WOUNDS BECAUSE OF THAT b***h OR ELSE I HAVE TO DEAL WITH HER BY MY OWN WAY.

I gave a nod and reassuring look to them both and then changed the topic instantly with a soft sigh

Me : So when are you guys getting married?

Black : Let see may be in few days interval after knowing a bit about each other. What say love?

Mia (shyly) : Whatever you feel right babe.
