Love or Hate ?

Mae left the pack house and got back to Xav and Mia's place. 

------Mae's POV---------

What had I done ? This was not the Carter I met, is this the Carter I made him? Yes I was rude and I spited poison on him all these months but I do need him now, can't he understand that. Suh a mean ass he is. How could he behave like this with me, I'm his Luna, I'm the one who's wolf and father left me because of that man. He is a jerk and I was right to hate him. Of course he was a jerk since ever how did I never saw it. I believed him that he'll help me and he showed his anger and attitude too me. DISGUSTING !! I was even ready to forgive him if he would help me for Rain, but now, he can die and I don't care. He don't deserve the forgiveness. Let him be, I don't need him or Rain. He wanna have s*x with sluts, he sure can do that, I'll find a job and a husband for myself. Then he'll realise what he had lost. He can die in hell now. I don't care. 

With my thoughts I walked inside the house and saw Xav and Mia sitting there. They had hopes in their eyes about maybe that jerk might have helped me but I'm gonna crush their hopes. 

Xav : Hey.. 

Me : Hey..

Mia : So, any luck by convincing Alpha Carter for helping you to get back Rain ? 

Me : He is a f*****g jerk. When I reached his pack house, some girl was sitting there naked in lingers in his office and he was shouting at her to get out. That slut was still giving him a lustful smile but when Carter used his Alpha tone and told her, he'll kill her limps to limps she walked out freaked. 

Mia : Oh Moon Goddess. What is he dealing with now. Poor he!!

Me : Shut the hell up Mia. He isn't "Poor He". He is a jerk, he shouted at me to leave the room and that I mean nothing to him and I should never come back. What a asshole he is. 

Mia : That's not fair Mae. What had got inside you? 

Me : Nothing is wrong with me. (Shouting) It's him, he had no right top talk to me like that. If he think I need him or Rain then he is wrong. I'll find a job and marry a human husband. I'll quit this life if that's what they want.  They think I need them. Humph!! I'll show them I need no one and I'm fine without them. They both wanna leave me, I'm cool with it okay!! I DON'T CARE.

Xavier : Mae, Stop shouting kitten. That's not a  way to talk to my mate. I can't take it, you never cared about yours that doesn't mean I don't care about mine, and enough. You can't keep shouting at people and still think they'll take your s**t. 

Me : (Hurt) You.....you are shouting at me.... Xav..??? Just because you have a mate now you too wanna shout at me? What the hell is wrong with you.? 

Xav :(Growls angrily...) It's the love and mate bond. I can't let anyone treat Mia bad. How could you even think you can shout and treat ill my mate? She takes your toxicity because she loves you, she thinks you as a best friend and this is what you giving her back? What do you think you are ? You my friend was nothing to anyone. When you told me about Carter killed your father yes I felt bad for you. But the way you treated Carter whenever he came to meet you, doubted his love and mate bond, doubted his skill as an Alpha, then ignoring your own wolf and thinking she just need her mate and you let her leave and now you need her back . The question stands why you need her now ? You wanted her to leave and not feel the mate bond and that's what you are getting .Carter gave everything to you, this house is which we are living is given by him, the moment he saw our child he freed us from dungeon and set us in this house with all the supplies we needed  for baby and us. He gave us the car and gave me the job even when we are not the part of his pack yet. He gave you infinite chances to get back to his life and post of Luna. He gave you the love and care you never had in your life. You kept taunting him about the past and killing your father, have you ever thought that he was the one who guarded you and your deceased father on the war zone that time so that you can have your last moments with him. Have you ever thought that he kept repeating that was a mere bartender who wanted money and that's why he tricked him - could be the truth not just a story ? The pack, they always prayed for you and your health when you was in hospital, Carter even being an Alpha requested them, cried in front of them for you. Have you ever thought the poison you gave to him is the reason what he is now. As per news and rumors he is a monster now. He kills the rouges without even asking why they're there, he took over any ara who's Alpha attacks him, it doesn't take 2 days to him to kill and vanish an entire army. He became ruthless, arrogant, and egoistic but this is all what you had made him. And whatever he is doing with you is what you deserves now. This is your fault, you lost the mot lovable mate and you want a human husband now. Please leave the house right away Mae. I can't take all this anymore. I don't want my pup to learn this poison from you and treat his mate like this in future. Please take your belongings and leave. That's it. 

Mia : Xav, love where will she go please don't do this to her. She'll be good and I'll take care of her, she needs us love. Please, she needs someone to keep her on right track, please love. 

Xav (Sigh) : Why are you that sweet love ? She disrespected you and you want her to stay. 

Mia : That's what friends are for love.

Xav : Fine, whatever. 

I couldn't think anymore and cried unstoppable. My head was not able to process everything that Xav said. Is this what my best friend think about me. Mia took me to my room and made me sit on bed and st next to me.

Mia : Mae, don't think too much please, go to sleep. I'll call you when the dinner would be ready. Okay?

ME : M'I that bad ? Whatever Xav said, is it all true? M'I the reason of what Carter did to me? Please tell me the truth Mia.

Mia : The more I hate to say this but yes Mae, whatever av said is true, you are really the reason for whatever is happening to you now, even about Carter's behaviour he is right, you treated him so bad that he became the unstoppable monster he is now. And Mae, an Alpha without his Luna is an opportunity o every girl in the pack and near packs too, every single girl would want to be the luna and his mate, anyone would throw herself to him and it's not his mistake, you had let him down and you made him alone that any girl could try her way out on him now. 

Me : But, he is my mate. How can he love anyone else?

Mia : You never treated him like a mate ever, all you treated him as a murderer of your father, Mea in a war people dies, but that doesn't mean you treats bad to the people who loves you and wants you in their lif. He gave you the love you never had in life. He never forced you for anything but now you can't lso force him for anything. You have lost him and that;a a truth now Mae. It's okay if you wanna get aa job and a human husband. Whatever you do I'm with you in it, but Mae I suggest.... Don't let your mate go to anyone else. He may be a monster but he is hollow inside and he needs you, he may not admit now but he loves you else he would have selected someone else as his luna till now.But he i still single and waiting. Please live in present and let bygone be bygone. Now take some rest.

Me : Okay. 

Mia left the room and also left me in my thoughts that do I want Carter as my mate or i can let him go to anyone else?  I don't know now but I was happy when I saw him shouting at that girl and felt bad when he told me I mean nothing to him.. DO I.... DO I LOVE HIM? CAN THIS BE POSSIBLE EVEN WITHOUT THE MATE BOND???

I'll think about this later....With the thoughts still in my mind I drifted in sleep and Mia called me for dinner, but I insisted her to give me food in my room and she did. I had food and after finishing I gone to kitchen, cleaned my dish and kitchen and drifted again in sleep.Whatever I will need first, I need a job. Tomorrow onwards, I'll find a job and get a room near by I don't wanna live with here anymore.Xav is right, my behaviour can be a problem for James.
