We had an absolutely amazing Fourth of July! I had two very full trips during the day, but for some reason, we lucked out and didn't have a night dive. The seas had been flat calm when we were out, so when Fern mentioned that Mac's boss had offered to let us take her Cigarette boat out for the evening, I jumped at the chance.
I could tell that Gus was concerned about getting seasick in front of Mac and Fern when I brought it up on the phone with him, so I assured him that it was a Gus-tastic day out on the water. That is how I have begun referring to days when the waves are small enough for him to come out to the reef without having to worry about being nauseous the entire time.
