I'm normally not a big fan of Memorial Day or other holidays when most people get an extended weekend. Working in a resort area means that these times are some of our busiest. I truly don't mind being busy or working hard, but many times tourists get their hopes built up so much for their brief vacations that they are bound to be disappointed. Life doesn't ever go perfectly, but somehow people tend to think their vacations should.
