Chapter 1 – The Death of Genius
The room reeked of burnt circuits and betrayal.
Adrian Cross staggered backward, his palm pressed to his chest where the knife had slid between his ribs. The pain was sharp, but not as sharp as the look in his friend’s eyes.
“Why…?” Adrian rasped, his voice breaking.
Victor Hale—his partner, his so-called brother—smiled coldly. “You were too brilliant for your own good, Adrian. The board doesn’t need you—they need your inventions. And once you’re gone, all of it will belong to me.”
Adrian’s eyes burned, not with fear, but with fury. Decades of sleepless nights, calculations scrawled on glass boards, prototypes built with his own hands—all stolen with one act of treachery. His body collapsed against the laboratory floor, the hum of the supercomputer fading into silence.
As the life drained from him, his mind clung to a single thought:
If only I had another chance…
Darkness swallowed him whole.

A ringing sound pierced the void.

Adrian gasped and sat upright. The stabbing pain was gone. His chest was whole. He wasn’t in his high-tech lab, but in a cramped apartment with peeling wallpaper and the faint stench of instant noodles.
“What—?” His voice was younger, raw. He stumbled to the cracked mirror hanging by the bed and froze.
A stranger’s face stared back. No—this was his face now. A man in his early twenties, lean and pale, with eyes that carried both weakness and untapped potential.
Then the voice returned, calm and mechanical, echoing in his skull:
> [Welcome, User Adrian Cross.]
[Tech System Initialized.]
[Beginner Rewards Unlocked.]
A translucent blue panel shimmered before his eyes. Lines of glowing text scrolled across it.
Nano-Workshop: Create and modify objects at the molecular level.
Blueprint Library: Store and access limitless designs.
Quantum Interface: Connect with any digital system instantly.
Adrian’s lips parted, trembling not with fear but exhilaration.
This wasn’t a curse. It was a rebirth.
He clenched his fist, a wild grin spreading across his face.
“In my past life, they stole my genius. In this one…” His eyes glowed with newfound fire.
“I’ll rewrite the future.”
