SAPPHIRE’S POV: “Sapphire it is about time, we need to leave. Adam is all really and is waiting for you downstairs. And I'm leaving for the venue. Please, pull yourself together and get out of your closet as soon as possible.” Bella said for the last time and went out of my room, not before slamming the door. We came back home just an hour ago due to the scene Abel made are getting drunk. Yup! Since he wasn't going to attend the function and marriage, he thought it was a great idea to have a bachelor's party just a few hours before the engagement ceremony. It was a relief right now that Adam doesn't drink and at the same time, it was the pain in a** as Abel chose to dink on his brother's behalf too. I put on the Burgundy lipstick and put on some light River eyeshadow with medium-thick winged liner. I made wavey curls out of my hair and sided them over my left shoulder. After giving myself a final satisfied look, I walked out of the room with my phone in my dress pocket. As I walked down the stairs and saw Adam all groomed up. He was wearing an expensive three-piece Suit as always and yet he looked so different. Adam usually prefers to wear plain suits and Waistcoats but right now, My Man was wearing a checked navy Blue three-piece matched with a burgundy-coloured tie and a baby pink- almost white shirt. He completed his look with light brown leather shoes which made him look like a model, right out of the cover of a magazine. He smiles, as he always does when he sees a little bit of makeup I do. To him, I look more than beautiful without any makeup but when I do, I look different. Of course in a good way. The change in looks is good for a day or two but at the end of the day, he knows that I don't like these cosmetics on me and how my skin is repulsive to it. Of course, the kind of products I use are the best in the world but my Face has a bad reaction to any chemicals that are being touched. Well, not immediately. I can endure them over natural moistures but not for a long time before it starts to get itchy. Let's say for Six to seven hours... “You look like a princess, Angel.” Adam kissed my forehead and looked at my lips before moving back. We have never felt any lust over each other but the love we felt for each other in these gaps of our short meetings was so beautiful that it took us closer to each other each time we meet. “You look like a model walking right out of a man's health magazine.” I blushed and closed the distance between us, kissing him on his cheek just touching his lips a little. “Tease is not perfect, considering we are about to be late in our engagement. I'll make sure to answer this after we return home, My Angel Dearest...” He trailed off and I giggled as we left for the venue in the Matt white Limousine. “Have you gone through the papers I sent you last month?” I nodded my head and moved closer to rest my head over Adam’s shoulder. Somehow, I feel relieved from all the tensions when I do that. “I did, but is it really necessary? I know, Dad told me all about the next but still if the situation around us becomes unfavourable for our liking, we are going to have a lot of paperwork around us. Not to mention that we have at-least a million people working under us and their families that feed on their salaries. This is a big gamble, only a lot worse than a gamble.” Adam took my hand tangled our fingers, giving light stocks on the back of my hand by his thumb. “It won't, dad always has the policy of Antidote with Venom. As soon as we get married, we'll know the loopholes of the context.” I signed and looked at Adams's face by moving my head up. He was looking at me with so much affection in his eyes and all I wanted to do is live in that love. But as not to get out of track I nodded my head smiling and Adam kissed my forehead before looking out of the window. “You know, when last month I went to Sisley, I never get a chance to see its beauty properly along with other parts of Italy.” I rounded the ring in Adam’s finger and smiled. “And you are telling me this, why?” Adam kissed my hand and the car stopped making us aware that we've arrived. “Just wanted to tell you, ” I frowned but let the matter slip away as his side of the door opened and he got out smiling like he won a great CEO of the YEAR award, again. I smiled back and winked at him when he opened my door, in such a way that no one else could see. He gave me a charming smile and I took his hand while getting out of the car. As every second passed, the clicking sound and flashes of the camera only increased and more security officer came forth to escort us in the ballroom of the five-star hotel where the engagement was arraigned. We wanted everything to be so simple, from engagement to the reception but according to Dad, we have to show the people that this is not any commercial and contractual obligations that we are doing in the name of marriage. It is true though, we did agree to never collaborate or venture into our company with one another, neither will our sister companies can. We already have so much drama on our plates and we have no desire for more. According to Dad, amalgamating our companies into one won't give us any extraordinary profit or opportunities but it will surely increase the question and answer contest in the home. And in a way, Adam and I both agree with dad as we both had a mutual understanding even before dad decided to give his word that no business between a home that we won't talk about the business in house. Well at least to one another until we need some serious advice. Adam and I smiled at the closest camera and moved to the entrance. There's carpet was giving out the typical feeling of luxuries as Adam and I went down the path getting one more step closer to make our relationship official. Lights, music, people, everything a perfect rich party contains was maintained. I signed, of course, it will be given out extraordinarily rich vibes. It was Flora who planned everything for the party. As soon as we entered the doors, I made Adam stop just before the ballroom door and looked at him with a serious face. “Flora won't be planning any of our ceremonies hereafter.” Adam gave me a poker face before looking around and smiled. “Agreed, Angel.” And we entered the ballroom...
