SAPPHIRE’S POV: I jumped forward and threw the cutlery out of Adam’s hands before he could put the bite in his mouth. Adam looked at me with anger. “Why would you do that Sapphire! You know I don't like to waste food. Even the slightest bit of it.” His angry voice stopped as he saw that my actions were not out of any joke or silliness. He picked the food up, keeping it in the container cap and took my face between his palms. His warmth made me realise how I was sitting like a statue and I rushed forward, hugging Adam as I have never before. He almost falls back due to the rush but keeps up and holds me while patting my back and hair. “Hey, what happened?” His gentle whisper made me pull back and answer. “The food has alcohol, let me taste everything first before we start eating.” Ev
