The mood at the Academy changed the moment we returned and let everyone know that we’d declared war. Our days became filled with battle strategy which, surprisingly, Cedric led. I say surprisingly because Avani had been the leader when we were practicing with the dragons, and he still does provide feedback to the dragons when he’s not involved in fighting. But Cedric, having led multiple wars, was the obvious leader when it comes to preparing for war.
Because he was leading battle strategy, Tana taught sword fighting. What using our elements didn’t take out of us mentally, sword-fighting took out physically.
