Gods why?!
Why did I have to be stuck in a world with no magic for this long?! I’m tired of living boring normal lives. I’m done with being a mother and wife. I want my godhood back and I need to find a way into a world with magic to to do.
Oh sure I can see faint wisps of magic from other worlds but when I follow them there isn’t a way to get to the magical world. Hell at this point I’d take an anime word, I don’t care I just want no need I need off Earth. It is the most boring and uninspired rock in the universe and I’ve been stuck on it for eons now. Since that snake shattered me I’ve been half a soul being born in parts across time. Slowly my soul regrouped for lack of a better word and now I’m whole again, BUT I can’t get off this damned rock!!! It’s been a century, 3 lifetimes since I became whole again and I’ve tried all sorts of things to leave.
The funny thing is that even though there are ways you have to find them in time and the storybooks have it wrong. These portals don’t just stay open for anyone to stumble in. No that would be easy. No these portals to other worlds are locked with a kind of key hidden in one's soul.
so I'm stuck for now till I can find a portal that opens for me. It's raining today and the light blue of water magic swirls around as I walk to my mortal job. I sigh as I hurry so I'm not late. Out of the corner of my eye, I see a water pixie and I wave at it before it disappears. Shy creatures even if they are tricksters.
I’m walking along minding my way when suddenly I’m not in the sleepy little town where I lived and worked.
“Could she be Her?” A gruff voice asked
“How should I know?” A small one replied. I smiled. Finally, I was in another world.
“Excuse me but does this world have magic?” I asked the voices. A burst of roaring laughter echoes around me as I get to my feet where I’ve seem to have fallen.
“ There is magic here yes. “ the small voice answers. “What a silly question to ask. “ it mutters under its breath.
“YES!!” I scream and jump for joy. My long wait is over and I can finally be free! “ So whatever it is you need me to do for you save your world or just talk I’ve got you by I am never going back to Earth.”
The laugher rang out again. “Boys she’s the one. “ and a rather large incredibly good-looking man lumbered out of the shadows. His hair was shoulder length and a funny shade of robin egg blue and his eyes were bright like someone had placed small sapphires in his eyes. He was lean and looked like he could benchpress my small frame with ease. He smiled and I notice the sharper-looking fangs in his mouth.
I take a step back in reflex but I can already feel my powers returning. “Hi, I’m Metia.” I offer to the big man.
“Roarke.” He replied in kind. “Let’s get someplace out of this blasted rain.” He then picks me up, ignoring my protests, and starts off towards Source only knows where. This is going on to be an interesting adventure but at least by the end, I’ll have my wings again.
