SPA Day

“I have no clue. We broke up.”

“What?”

“Yeah, then I lost the baby.”

She stared at me then hugged me.

“I’m so sorry.”

“It’s okay.”

“Look, Serina wasn’t targeting you. She was trying to hurt Nick by attacking you.”

“What?”

“So we need to get Jordan to safety because she left the hospital without permission and she’s dangerous.”

Mirza, Brandon, and Kyle walked up to us.

“Find Jordan. Now.”

“What? Why?”

“Serina got out and her real target is Nick. she wants the people he loves dead and-”

We saw Jordan walking down the hall so I sprinted up to him.

“What-”

“We need to get you to safety, now.”

I called Cam.

“Hello?”

“Get to the school, bring your car not your bike. We need to get Jordan and his family to the safe house now.”

“I’ll be there in a minute. Keep him away from cameras-”

“I know what to do Cam.”

I hung up and dragged him outside with Camilia.

“What is happening?”

“Serina’s real target is Nick. She wants to kill everyone that he loves. Call your parents and tell them to not let anyone inside unless it’s me.”

“I’m calling them now.”

He pulled out his phone then Kyree and Cam pulled up in their cars.

“We’re here. What do you need?”

“Camilia, get in your car and follow Cam. Kyree and I will get your parents and your brother.”

“Where are we taking them?”

“Angel’s house. I’ll send you the address.”

“Okay, boss.”

Jordan hugged me.

“Thank you.”

“I’m doing my job.”

I pushed him off of me then got in Kyree's car. Camilia sprinted to her car then followed behind Cam. I sent him the address then told Angel what was happening. We went to Jordan’s parents house and they came running out to me.

“Are you two okay?”

“Yes, what’s going on?”

“I’ll tell you in a bit. Where’s Nick?”

“He’s at the store.”

I called Nick.

“Hey Sophia, what’s up?”

“Come to your parents right now. Drop everything, keep your head down, and get out of there now. Your life is in danger.”

“I’m leaving right now.”

“I’m going to stay on the phone and tell you and your parents everything right now.”

I looked at Kyree, “Where’s my gun?”

“Trunk. I’m getting our heat now.”

“Good, now, you remember Serina?”

“How could I not.”

“Her real target is everyone you love then you. We need to get you and your family to safety then take her out. Her sister got me to do it.”

“Why?”

“I’m a gangster. I’m actually the right hand woman and assassin for hire.”

“You’re what?”

“I’m also a guardian. I’m with your parents right now and my brother is with Jordan. They are already on their way to the safe house but we need you to get here to take you there as well while we take out Serina.”

“Take out?”

“Kill. She has to die.”

“You are going to kill her?”

“If not me, one of my people.”

Kyree handed me my gun then we canvassed the area to make sure no one else was here. Nick pulled into the driveway then ran to us.

“Get in.”

They got into the car and we started driving to the highway.

“Wait, my sister.”

“Rose will be okay. I’ll call Frankie to take her to the bar where she will be safest.”

“Thank you.”

He put his hand on my thigh as I texted Frankie to get Rose and take her to safety. He said he’s on his way there right now. 

“He’s on his way to get her.”

“Thank you.”

“Always, I told you, she’s family now.”

He smiled and kept driving. I called a few of the boys at the bar.

“Hey, look for Serina Vargas. I sent her photo to all of you. If you see her, take her to the bar and tie her up. She may be armed and if she tries to fight with you, sedate her or knock her out. I’m taking her out, you understand me?”

“Yes boss. We will leave a few guys to keep Rose safe while the rest of us looks for her. We will find her boss.”

“Thank you.”

I hung up and I saw Kyree biting his lip.

“Now is not the time for that.”

“I can’t help it.”

“Stop. My ex boyfriend's family is in the car with us.”

“And other ex boyfriend.”

“It was a week almost two years ago Nick.”

“Still counts.”

“We didn’t even hold hands.”

He scoffed.

“Hush or else I’ll let her get you.”

“Okay, I’m sorry.”

We kept going until we got close to Angel’s house. We pulled into the driveway to see Camilia standing there arguing with Cam. we pulled up then they stopped. Rosa, Daniel, and Nick ran to Jordan and they all started hugging each other. 

“What were you two fighting about?”

“He’s a pig.”

“What? All I asked for was your number!”

“I’m gay!”

“And I backed off after that!”

I started laughing.

“What’s so funny sis?”

“She’s clearly gay Cam.”

“I didn’t know, okay? I thought she was attractive and badass so I asked for her number, said she was gay, said okay and didn’t say anything after that.”

I started dying laughing then walked up to Angel.

“Thank you, for helping us.”

“Always my dear. We have a wing just for them and they don’t have to worry about anything other than who’s sleeping in which room.”

I smiled.

“Thank you, now I have to make a few calls then somehow get home, dressed, and back here in time for the meeting.”

“Darling, you are talking to a fashion designer. You walk into the fashion room and pick whatever you want and have it. I have so many clothing items that I could never wear, it’s crazy.”

“Thank you.”

We all walked in and his people walked them to the spare rooms while Kyree, Cam, and I walked with Angel to his fashion room so I could pick out an outfit for the meeting later. They all picked out something for me to try on so I put on Kyree's first. It was a black pencil skirt with a white blouse and a black blazer. I walked out of the changing room and they all rated it.

“You look amazing darling.”

“Turn around and get back in there and put something else on.”

“You look good mamas.”

I smiled.

I put Angel’s on and it was a black skin tight dress that ended at my knees that had a gold belt. It had one sleeve. I walked out and they all liked it. I went back in to put Cam’s on and I noticed that it covered up as much skin as possible so I put Kyree's one on because I liked it the most. I walked out and Cam looked mad.

“Put mine on.”

“No. I look like a holy virgin.”

They all started laughing. Angel picked out a pair of black heels for me then I looked in the mirror and saw how different I look now compared to last year. Kyree walked up behind me and hugged me. He hid his face in the crook of my neck and I smiled.

“I love you mamas.”

“I love you too, you goof.”

I pulled my phone out and took a few pictures of us and then he started kissing my neck.

“Babe, not here.”

“We can’t do it anywhere anymore. Not even at home because my sister’s there.”

“Well we can do it at home, we just have to be quiet.”

“Not possible.”

I chuckled then I noticed Jordan in the room.

“Sophia.”

“Yes?”

“What’re you going to do to Serina?”

“What I should have done day one.”

“Which is?”

“Don’t worry about it. But as soon as we find her, she won’t be a problem anymore.”

“What’re you-”

“Jordan, stop asking questions.”

Kyree finally stood up and I realized that he was taller than Jordan. 

“Can you go? Were busy trying to save your family.”

“Looks like you’re busy playing dress up.”

“She has to look professional for a meeting that is going to stop a gang war from happening and we have people all over Cook, Aurora, Iroquois, and Kankakee county looking for Serina. So, before you start talkin, know what’s really happening.”

He turned back to me then kissed me before walking away.

“He’s gotta watch out.”

“You’re not going to do anything so shut up. How’re you and your family doing?”

“We’re okay. We don’t know what to do and I’m worried.”

“I know but I really do have this covered. We will find her.”

“Good.”

“And this.” I pointed at my outfit. “I have to look nice.”

“Well you do. You look really good.”

“Thank you. I’m just nervous.”

I looked back at the table that was holding my gun and phone.

“Me too.”

I took my blazer off and put my gun holster on. I checked the ammo and saw I had a full clip. I put the safety on then put it in the holster, secured it, then put my blazer back on. 

“What’re you-”

“I’m in charge now. I always have to have a gun with me and a few guys, even though I don’t need them.”

“Who are they?”

“Cam, Frankie, and Kyree.”

“Why is he always with you?”

“He’s my boyfriend Jordan.”

“I wasn’t attached to your hip like he is.”

“Well, he knows how important I am and he knows that if something happens to me, he has to be there to help. He knows that when you find a diamond in the rough, you keep it.”

“You think you’re a diamond in the rough?”

“Well, both you and your brother both have obsessed over me and he seems to think so.”

“Sophia, get over yourself.”

I slowly walked up to him.

“Your life is in my hands and I got you uninvolved with a group of people that don’t care if you die. Want me to tell your family about that? And the misscarriage?”

Rosa walked up to us.

“You lost the baby?”

I looked at her then I hid my face. She walked up to me then grabbed my face.

“Jordan, leave us.”

“But-”

“Jordan!”

He walked away then she hugged me.

“It’s okay sweetheart.”

I started crying then we sank to the floor.

“I lost them both Rosa.”

“I know, I know.”

“In the same hour. I was so ready to throw this life away for him and that baby. And in seconds, they were both gone. I lost my everything and myself.”

“It’s okay, let it out.”

“I’m so angry with myself. It’s all my fault.”

“No it’s not. He chose to break up with you and it was not your fault that the baby-”

“I was attacked by Serina’s friends!”

“You what?”

Camilia walked in.

“Jordan said that there was female assistance needed here.”

She sank to her knees with us.

“Her friends attacked me with a bat and said ‘this is for Serina’ then someone started yelling at them and that’s when my memory gets foggy.”

Rosa started comforting me by rubbing my head and Camilia rubbed my leg.

“When we find her, I will make sure that you personally take her out.”

“Relax, Rosa doesn’t know anything.”

“I heard everything and I thank you. Jordan was going to do something very stupid and you stopped it from happening so I thank you. You are an amazing young woman and this was God testing how strong you are and young woman.” She made me look at her. “You are one of the strongest people I know.”

I smiled.

“Look at you, we gotta fix you up. Make you glow up on that asshole. No offence Rosa.”

“Oh none taken. He’s a dumbass.”

I looked at Rosa then Camilia and we all started laughing. Cade and Angel came walking in then saw what was happening.

“Sophia, are you okay?”

Cade slid on the floor to me and Angel walked.

“What’s wrong?”

“We were talking about the misscarriage then about how we should do a mini girls day to make her glow up.”

“O-M-G yes. I have everything we need for all of us to do our hair and facials and everything.”

“You are trying to doll me up while we are hunting down a delusional girl that’s on a murderous rampage and going to meet with a man killing your customers.”

“Yep. There are people dealing with those matters. Plus, when was the last time you did something for yourself?”

“I have no clue.”

“Then it’s settled. We are having a spa day.”

We got up then walked to their glam room, yes they have a glam room. There were sofas in the room and a fridge full of champagne. They popped open a bottle and poured each of us a glass. They wiped my face clean then each of us put on a robe and slippers. We all put a face mask on and just chatted for a while.

“So Sophia, how’s Kyree?”

“You got a crush on him Cade?”

“Oh no, I’m not into straight guys like James Charles.”

We all started dying laughing.

“Plus, I am talking to a guy.”

 We turned to him.

“Sis, spill.”

“Okay do his name is Jake and he is so hot.”

He showed up a few pictures and he really was hot.

“We met at a fashion show and he didn’t know anything about me so we were talking about the clothes and he only said great things about the clothes so I told him that I am inheriting the company and he looked so shocked.”

I started laughing with him.

“He doesn’t care about the money either. I tried paying for dinner a few times and he always pays. Then I told him that I’ll pay next time but he told me that he’s going to pay for me everytime.”

“Awe, he sounds great!”

“He is. But back to Kyree.”

I started laughing.

“What do you want to know?”

“s*x?”

“Cade! My ex-boyfriend's mom is sitting right there!”

“And? Sophia, it’s girls day. Gossip is key during spa day even if it means you are talking about a different guy to me.”

“See, mom approves. Now, how’s the s*x?”

“It’s, amazing. At first he’s super gentle but when he realizes that I like it rough, dear lord, have mercy on my soul.”

They started laughing.

“Is he bigger?”

I choked on my drink.

“I plead the fifth.”

“So he’s a lot bigger.”

“I didn’t say that.”

“You thought it.”

I rolled my eyes.

“What about you Camilia, any special ladies?”

She looked away.

“Oh lord, there is.”

“I wouldn’t say that but she works for my dad. We have messed around a few times and that’s it.”

“Lame.”

We started laughing. 

“Wow, okay what about you Angel?”

“Sweetheart, don’t come for me.”

“Oh really?”

“Honey, I want him, I get him.”

Angel is also gay. He had Cade with a woman only because he wanted to have his own kids and after that, his real mom wasn’t in the picture and Angel has done everything in his power to make Cade feel loved.

“Look at you!”

We all started dancing around and finished our masks. Cade started waxing my face and I was not prepared for that pain. 

“Do you want a brazillian Sophia?”

“I’ve never been waxed before.”

Cade stared at me.

“We are going to the back and I am giving you a brazillian and you will be shocked.”

“Are you even allowed to do that?”

“I have my degree in it and I’ve done it for a lot of the models.”

“Okay. I trust you.”

We went to the back and started. It hurt but not so badly it was unbearable. He finished waxing my whole body and I was bright red.

We walked back out and then they started doing my hair and makeup. When they were doing dolling me up Cade showed me a few of their newest lingerie pieces and then had me put it on.

“Oh my god, if I were straight I’d totally bone you.”

“Cade!”

“What?! I’m honest!”

“We want to see!”

I walked back out there with it in and they just stared at me.

“Sophia, ever thought about being a model?”

“What?”

“You have the perfect body and you look amazing in all of our clothing.”

“As much as that sounds great, that’s not my lifestyle.”

Camilia said, “I love and hate being gay.”

We started laughing.

“What? I get to see s**t like this that kills me. Like I’d totally get with you but you’re straight.”

“Well, I also am currently-”

There was a knock at the door and Kyree, Cam, and Jordan walked in.

“Hey guys-”
