Chapter 5(Shed of rose's)
*"** Christ is my firm foundation"
The rock on which I stand
When everything around me is shaken
I've never been more glad
That I put my faith in Jesus.....***
I sang softly to myself as tears trickled down my face, hidden under the duvet. Suddenly, my husband pounced onto the bed, startling me.
"Babe, what's wrong" he asked concern in his voice
"I'm fine, my love," I replied, moving closer to give him a soft kiss.
"I'm just...thankful to God," I continued, wiping my tears with the back of my palm.
Tony held my hands, his gaze locked onto mine, unspoken words passing between us.
"Ba...be..." I muttered, my heart racing.
"Your eyes are so seductive," he whispered, his voice husky, his lips curling into a playful smile. I chuckled softly.
He leaned in, pressing his lips against mine in a tender yet passionate kiss. I wound my arms around his neck, our bodies entwined in a lover's embrace.
His hands roamed across my naked body, his touch seeming to explore me anew. Had he forgotten that he'd already undressed me last night? A part of me wanted to remind him, but his touch was too intoxicating.
He paused to catch his breath, his lips finding my n^pple, his left hand caressing the other. I bit my lip to stifle a moan, my body aflame under his touch. Tony took over my body completely, his touch both rough and gentle, leaving me breathless.
I got married to Tony few days back, and one could have easily mistaken my mother for the bride—she was even happier than I was! The wedding was graced with the presence of ‘The Assembly Women Fellowship’ trust my mum she invited them all.
Esther, my dear friend, served as my maid of honor even though she was already in her second trimester. Yes, you heard that right—she was pregnant!
Esther and her husband, Femi, were planning to relocate before the arrival of their baby.
But before the wedding, Tony had made a confession to me, he had a 5-year-old son who was staying with his mother.
I didn’t mind, though, because I was desperate to be a Mrs. and Tony was the man of my dreams.
I couldn't help but smile, “You can now call me Mrs. Olabode!”
How exciting—the start of a new chapter!
Tony had come into my life and filled the void that had been there for so long. He was in his early 40s, and I was amazed that I had this wonderful man all to myself. Tony’s mother and siblings were present at the wedding, and I felt a pang of sympathy for my love, knowing that he had lost his father at a young age.
Meanwhile, my mother had been calling me incessantly, but I only picked up when I felt like it. She was lucky I hadn't blocked her number yet...
A delicious aroma wafting from the kitchen? Only one man could have crafted such culinary delights, and that man was my husband, Tony.
Did I mention that my beloved Tony is not only a handsome and loving husband, but also a skilled chef? Yawning and tip-toeing, I made my way into the kitchen.
"You're awake" Tony's voice echoed, his words surprising me.
How had he known I was behind him? Was it his superhuman sense of hearing or just the innate bond between husband and wife?
I walked towards the bowl of fried plantains, my mouth watering. "Yes, babe. I guess the aroma from your food woke me up." I grinned, my eyes feasting on the delicious treat before me.
"I'm glad to hear that," Tony chuckled, his eyes never leaving the pan in front of him.
"Did you sleep well?" he asked, his voice soft and soothing.
"Yes, I did," I replied, nodding, my mouth already full with plantain.
The meal was soon completed, and Tony led me to the dining table. I sat down, a smile spreading across my face as he served me.
"Thank you" I whispered.
"You're welcome" he responded with a whisper, a playful twinkle in his eye.
I giggled and began to eat, savoring the flavors. Tony, however, seemed more entranced by me than the food, his gaze lingering on me like a painter admiring his masterpiece.
“Please don’t kill me with your eyes” my expression seemed to say, but Tony only chuckled in response. He collected the spoon from me and fed me, each morsel feeling like a gift from the gods.
"If this is a dream, I pray never to wake," I thought, feeling more in love with Tony by the minute.
"I love you" I whispered, basking in the glow of my newfound happiness.
Tony's grin grew wider, his eyes shining with a love that surpassed even your wildest dreams.
"I love you even more" he replied, his words as tender as a soft caress.
We retreated to the bedroom after the long meal to watch some movie
Yes! the magic of sharing a bed while watching a movie with the one you love is truly enchanting. You can sense the love, affection, and comfort elevating the experience beyond anything that could be achieved in the living room.
The warmth of Tony’s body against mine and the tenderness of his arms around me make the world fade away, leaving just the two of us cocooned in each other’s presence. A moment to cherish forever. ️
You may be wondering if I’ve been to work lately. The answer is no! I’ve been enjoying the blissful honeymoon stage, adding “Olabode” to my documents and settling into the role of Mrs. Olabode with relish.
Tony’s son visited us recently, and he has stolen my heart! He’s a wonderful little boy, and he’s already calling me 'mum'.
"Let's go get something from the gate," Tony announced, as his phone beeped, surprising me.
'What?' I questioned, a hint of confusion in my tone. But before I could finish, he was already pulling me up and into his arms, his strength leaving me breathless.
I giggled, my eyes sparkling with mischief, "Yes, daddy, I'm all yours."
And just like that, I followed him to the gate, where I discovered a delightful surprise waiting for me, a package with my name on it
"What!" I exclaimed, my eyes wide with delight. Tony had ordered me a stunning bouquet of roses and a dazzling set of jewels.
"For my wife" he said, a hint of pride in his voice. I was so filled with joy that I didn’t even notice when my lips found his.
️
But just as our kiss was starting to deepen, a polite cough from the delivery guy reminded us of his presence.
"Pardon me" I said to the delivery guy, signing the papers he’d handed me with a slight blush on my cheeks. He smiled and left us
I let out an excited squeal and turned back to Tony, pressing my lip on his,we picked up where we left off
Tony was becoming my everything. The air I breathe and the beat of my heart.️
