Chapter 4

2749 Words
Like I said in the other story, sorry for beging late. Won't happen again ^^ Disclaimer: I own nothing but the twistin the plot as the main character, Nami, belongs to Shiranai Atsune. I decided after a lot of thinking to try doing what Yui told me. Though I wasn't sure that if she was telling the truth or not, doing what she said seemed that it'll get me a free ticket to take me away from that mansion. One more thing I was worried about was my destination after getting out of there, since I recently found out that my father abandoned me. It was really hard to keep everything inside and force myself not to cry. It was the best solution since I had a feeling that if I cried and they saw me, something bad will happen to me. What felt like an endless night to me finally came to an end as I went back to my room and fell asleep. I don't remember what happened after that but I remember that I woke up when I felt something touching my waist. I slowly opened my eyes to see a blurry image of a person that soon became clear: It was Laito and he was looking at me with his glowing eyes and grinning. "Morning, b***h-chan~ Did you get a nice sleep?" It took me a while to get what was happening as he moved his hand to my lower back. "Hyaa!" I jumped from the sudden touch and kicked him in his stomach. I ended up on the floor upside down after I fell from my bed. When I found out how awkward was my position I quickly adjusted myself and took a peek to see what happened to the vampire. He wasn't happy about what happened since the kick wasn't that weak. The room was dark so his eyes were freaking me out as they were the only light in the room. "This is the second time you hit me, b***h-chan... You think I'll let this slide this time?" He looked serious. "Y-you can't blame me! I wake up to see you in my bed hugging me! Not to mention that it's still 3 a.m!" I said pointing at the clock. "You can't blame me as well, I'm hungry you know~" he said in a carefree tone. My eyes widened. It was too late as he pulled me back on the bed and started to get closer. I tried to fight back and it was useless. It was like I'm hitting a wall of steel. I froze when I saw two more glowing eyes staring at me. "As always, you're getting your food first, Laito..." I recognized the voice as Kanato's voice. I cursed my luck when the two of them began to suck my blood. I looked for something to defend myself but found nothing but the water jar besides me. It didn't take seconds for me to smash it on the two vampires heads and run outside. Luckily, I bumped into Reiji, who saved me, not intentionally of course, and ordered his brothers to go to sleep since it was their time to rest. I was too scared when I saw them giving me death glares that told me that it wasn't over yet. It was really hard for me to sleep that night but I managed to do so and decided that the first thing that I'll do in the next morning was seeing Yui. I woke up at 11 am, still tired from yesterday's night. I went then to the kitchen and made a breakfast for two people then headed to Yui's room. When I was there, I knocked to check if she was up or not. "Who's there...?" she said weakly. "Good morning, Yui-san. I brought your breakfast. Mind if I come in?" "Nami... come in..." I was surprised that she was calling me by my first name already. (Maybe it's a sign that she thinks of me as her ally...?) "Here. Try to eat. It'll make you stronger." I handed her the food. "You don't have to do this, Nami..." Yui said smiling. "No, I have to since I promised that I'll help you out of my own will after all." I said sitting down. She stared at me waiting for an explanation so I gave her one and told her all about what happened from my first day there." "I'm sorry... you went through a lot..." she said lowering her head. "I'm alright. I came here today to understand what you wanted me to do better. You think you can talk?" I said moving straight to the topic. She nodded. "As I said... you were brought here... by the father of the brothers... as a last try to change and fix his broken sons..." "I got that already. But will I get to go out of here if I do that? And where's the father that you're talking about?" "I don't know if he'll let you out... but I think it's not impossible too... he also isn't in the mansion right now... and nobody knows when he'll come back... so I don't think that you can see him now..." she said answering my questions. That didn't help much. "So, what am I supposed to do now? Everyone of them hates to even look at me. How am I going to get closer and 'change' them?" I asked trying to tell her that it was impossible. She chuckled. "Yes... that happened to me too... whenever I talk they say that it was unpleasant and stuff... but they'll get nicer as they get to know you..." she said and I was having a hard time believing her. She noticed it so she continued on explaining. "Try to do something good for them first... see how'll they react and tell me..." she finally said. "Something good...?" I tilted my head." "I mean... like making food for them... or fixing something that you did wrong... for example Ayato loves takoyakis... and Kanato is addicted to sweets..." that was two new pieces of information for me so I made a note in my mind. "You mentioned something about seeing their memories... what was that about?" It was my last question that no matter how much I thought about it, I never understood what she meant by that. She smiled again. "I'll tell you... but in time... *cough*" she began coughing again. I knew then that I was pushing her so I decided to go and let her rest." I went back my room and started thinking. (Fix what I did wrong...) it was what caught my attention. I did a lot of things that I would never do if I was in my home. Hitting a guy was one of them. But I had no idea how to fix that so I abandoned the idea. (What did I do...) I closed my eyes to think better. That's when it came to me: When I pulled the carpet Subaru fell on his back harshly. (What if his back still hurt?) that was a possibility but it wasn't high since they seemed to have some super healing powers. I found out about that when I hit Laito and Kanato with the glass jar and left them with cuts their foreheads. When I saw them again, the cuts looked smaller. I wasn't sure of all of that yet so I decided to check about it at night. When the sun came down, the six vampires were up and in their uniforms to go. I was all prepared too so I won't repeat the carnival that I made before. I got shivers when I saw Laito and Kanato looking at me as I was the next prey for them devour. And as I though, the cuts were no longer there. It was really a long day as classes went very slowly... when it was break time, I was in my way to the library when I saw him... "Kou-sama!" Screamed the pile of girls that surrounded him. I couldn't believe my eyes. It was Mukami Kou! The famous idol that I always loved! All my plans for invading the library vanished as I ran towards him to get his autograph. I slowed down a bit when I noticed that he was wearing the same uniform of the school. (Is he a student here?) I thought. (But why a night school?) I asked myself but then brushed it off since I knew that he must had his own reasons. When I reached him, I couldn't get close since the huge girl-wall was blocking my way. I tried to get in but they wouldn't let me. "The girl there... are you new?" I froze when I saw all of the girls looking my way. (He's talking to me!) "Y-yes! I just came here recently... how did you know?" I was surprised and nervous. He walked towards me as the girls made a path. "I always remember all the faces of my fans and when I saw you, I knew that you were new." He said smiling and made my heart skip a beat. My mouth went sealed as I was in front of my favorite idol face to face. "That in your hands... you want an autograph?" I smiled shyly. "Of you don't mind..." I gave him the notebook." "Of course I won't mind! What's your name, neko-chan?" "Nami, Nami Kuromajo." "Kuromajo..." he mumbled as he singed my notebook. "Here! My next concert is tomorrow. Be sure to come, okay?" I nodded. "Yes! I'll be the first to come!" I said that but I knew that my chance to go was low since my life wasn't the same anymore. Kou was about to leave before he suddenly leaned and whispered in my ear: "By the way... you smell different... more like you're tainted with their smell... why is that?" "Eh?" I said as I felt something wrong. "Ow..." I felt a strong grip on my wrist, more like a crushing one actually. I turned to see Subaru. I was surprised to see him so I had no words to say. "Hmm... so I was right. You're the new one after all..." Kou mumbled as his fans started to act confused. "What the hell are you doing with this guy?" Subaru asked me. I was still shocked. "Answer me!" He yelled. I jumped as I showed him the autograph. "Subaru-san... my hand..." I said when I felt my hand getting numb from the hard press. He glared at me. "Come here." He said dragging me elsewhere." "Don't forget to come, neko-chan. I'll be waiting~" I looked back to see Kou waving at me. I felt awful as I was led against my will away from someone that I always wanted to meet. Subaru finally stopped when we were in an empty alley. He let go of my wrist which became red from his grip. "What was that about?! Is it wrong for me to get an autograph from my favorite idol?!" I was angry a bit so I couldn't help it but yell. "Ah? Is that what I get for saving you from him?!" He yelled back. "Save me from what?! He wasn't doing anything wrong!" "He's one of us, airhead! And don't talk back to me!" "I blinked. "One of you...? Don't tell me..." my eyes widened. "A vampire...?" He didn't deny it. "You're lying! It can't be..." "Why would I lie to you?" "And why would you tell me the truth?" He went silent for seconds after he heard that. "Listen here. I only want keep my food for myself, nothing more. The next time I see you near him I'll crush you, you got that?" He said in his usual harsh tone. I was too hurt to reply so I ignored him and went back to class. It felt a lot worst to find out about Kou since I also found out about father. Knowing that the one that you loved isn't who you always thought felt like stabbing knives in my chest. I placed my hands on my head and tried to calm myself down. Moments later Subaru was in class and settled in his seat next to me. I looked at him noticing that his face changed as he sat down. (So it's still hurting him...) The next thought seemed crazy to me but I decided to give it a try. I waited patiently for the school to end so I can do what I had in mind. The first thing I did when I came back to the manor was going to my room and getting the first aid that Reiji gave me. I opened it and smiled when I saw that it had just what I needed. Minutes later I was in front of Subaru's room knocking on the door. "Subaru-san, you're here?" He didn't reply. I repeated my action. He didn't give a response again. "What?! Can't you see that I don't want to answer you?!" He finally opened and looked as pissed as always." "I felt hesitant for a bit, but shook that off as I decided not to back down. "Sorry for bothering you but... you fell yesterday because of me and I wanted to apologize so I brought this... just in case your back still hurts..." I showed him the box. "Ah? Who told you I felt that s**t? That is nothing. Go back to your room." He was about to close the door when I stoped him and poked his back. His face showed pain. "What the hell you think you're doing?!" He yelled. "It still hurt doesn't it?" I asked bored. He just made a 'tch'. "I'll leave this here if you need it anyway. Sorry again." I placed the box in his room and turned to leave when I was pulled back in again. "Where do you think you're going? You came all the way here and you expect me not to suck your blood? Not a chance." He said as his face changed. I gulped, I knew that he may do that but I came anyway. I felt a little stupid for doing so. "Let go of me..." I said trying to push him away. He wasn't affected and bit my neck. I kept struggling to break free as he took his time. "That look... that's right... keep hating me... that's how is supposed to be..." he said looking me in the eyes. My glare softened as I heard what he said. (He wants me to hate him? Why...?) I asked myself as I looked deep into his crimson eyes. Suddenly, it was all black. At first, I thought that I passed out but that idea vanished as my surroundings began to take shape. My eyes widened seeing that I was in a completely different room. I looked around to see nobody but two people: a silver haired woman and a boy. I stared at them as they both smiled and looked happy. The woman was reading a book to the boy so I assumed that she was his mother. It all ended after moments as the woman's face suddenly got frightened and she started to shout and scream. I stood there looking at the boy who had sad eyes seeing the woman like that. It was like he was used to it. "Hey... hey... Nami..." I looked around as I heard a voice calling out to me. "Look at me!" I froze when I saw Subaru in front of me again. "Snapped out of it?" "What...?" I said confused. "Don't ask me! You have been standing there like a statue for a while now." "I did that...?" I asked trying to understand what was happening. "You don't remember?" I shook my head. He went silent for a bit. "Whatever. Just go back to your room." He said and kicked me out of his room. I stood there motionless. (What just happened...?) I asked myself as I went back to my room. (Was I daydreaming...?) that was the only explanation that seemed logical to me. I sat on my bed and started to think about what happened. That's when an idea crossed my mind. (Could it be...) Another serious chapter -_- The next chapter will be more relaxing so look forward to it! Don't forget to review and follow~ See you next Sunday!
