I turned around in hopes I would see someone standing there. But the whole apartment was just empty. The complete fullness of myself I was feeling just a while ago was gone. The part of me I had gained in the dream was gone again. It was the same as before. The same as any other day in my life. I was still without my wolf. Another day as a failure. I punched the couch.
