Chapter 43

1741 Words

Chapter 43 I didn’t tell David I was coming. I knew he would feel compelled to meet me, whatever his feelings were. And I knew how disruptive this could be to a day’s filming. It inconvenienced so many people. I rang David’s assistant Aubrey instead. “It’s Eloise. I’m going to be at LAX on Friday morning, on the Qantas flight. I don’t want to disturb David if he’s filming, so please don’t mention anything unless he’s free.” “I’ll check the latest call sheets. They’re moving a lot of stuff around, so it may not be confirmed until the day before. I should think Mr Astwell would want to know regardless,” Aubrey said. “I know. But I’d rather not add to any disruption,” I told him. Aubrey reluctantly accepted this. “If he’s not available, I’ll send the car.” “Honestly, I can get a cab.”
