David came into my room with me. "I know you’re tired, but I don’t think I can hold off a moment longer. I’ve been living like a monk these past months."
This startled me. I had tried not to think about him seeing other women. I assumed that he had a private life in LA, and after all he was free to do as he liked. He hadn’t made any promises.
"Come here."
He began kissing me and undressing me with urgency. Not quite to the extent of ripping my clothes off, but his intentions were clear. He pulled his own clothes off with frustrated haste, drew the bedcovers back, and laid me down on the bed. He knew how and where to touch me to get me ready for him quickly, and he clearly didn’t want to wait.
