"So the director said that, given her insistence on a nudity clause, he’d appreciate it if she stopped wandering starkers around the set distracting everyone when she wasn’t filming. In the end the crew chipped in to buy her a burka."
It was one of many anecdotes that David related when he joined a group of us down at the Frog on Sunday evening. If nothing else, he put on an amazing performance. He was charming, witty and self-deprecating. He showed interest in other people. He shared several juicy pieces of showbiz gossip. He was affectionate enough with me to establish that we were a couple, but not ostentatiously demonstrative.
