Chapter 35 Lunch was finally served as a buffet. I ended up sitting at one end of the large dining room table with David, Aunt Monica and Uncle Stephen - who hadn’t lunched with the Davenports - and David’s grandmother. Lydia was seated a little further along. She had greeted me as politely as possible, but in a way that told me she was doing it under duress.
