I don’t know whether absence truly makes the heart grow fonder, but he seemed even more attractive than I remembered . We arrived at the restaurant at the same time, which was convenient as I hated sitting at a table waiting for someone. I always feel that everyone is sending me pitying glances, in case I’ve been stood up.
He kissed me in a greeting sort of way, not intimately, and led me inside. We were shown to a table in one of the best locations, though he didn’t seem to notice. All his attention was on me.
“You look wonderful, darling. How have you been? Have you missed me?” He was smiling as he said this, so I didn’t take it too seriously.
He looked amazing but he had lost weight. He was leaner in the face, and seemed harder looking in the body, though it was difficult
