Chapter Three
The turnout was slightly better, as Sophie had hoped. They’d added an additional mom, making the total four, and along with the grandma from the week before, they also had a dad. He didn’t look thrilled to be there, but his wife assured Sophie he’d be able to help with the set and possibly the production elements. Sophie was happy to have a larger team, but there was a lot to be done and just over a month to do it.
“Thank you all for volunteering to be a part of our annual Easter pageant,” Sophie said, looking at the faces seated at the round table in one of the empty Sunday school classrooms. “I’m so excited for this year’s show.
