Chapter Fourteen
By Thursday, Zach was beginning to realize whatever was wrong with Sophie, he needed to talk to her about it. There was no way he could continue to go on the way they were now, walking on eggshells around each other, avoiding eye contact, only saying the minimal amount of words. With three days until Easter, a holiday he knew meant a lot to Sophie, he began to formulate a plan.
He walked into the flower shop during lunch to see several workers quickly putting together what appeared to be Easter lilies. A few customers were browsing the selection of flowers, and a young woman with long, dark hair stood behind the counter talking to an older gentleman, a bright smile on her face. Just the person he was looking for.
