15. Three Hunters

   Clair   I fell in and out of consciousness repeatedly for some time. But I knew I was safe; I knew I was with him.  I woke up to the daylight in his arms, feeling much better already. I looked up at his sleeping face, how could someone be so handsome? I brushed off the feeling, he saved me, but it didn’t mean he wanted me for anything more than a mistress. I didn’t want to raise my hopes again, just to experience another heartbreak.  I tried to move away and figure out where I was, get my bearings, but Hunter only pulled me further onto his warm chest and stirred in his sleep. The tingles and his earthy scent were relaxing me, almost putting me to sleep again, but my throat was too dry. I was extremely thirsty. I had to get some water and I knew I shouldn’t stay there much longer,
