Asking Questions/A Good Human/The Run/The Anari Pack

Allusion's POV

We woke up at relatively the same time. I think it was around 8:00 but I'm not sure. Our task today was to learn as much about each other as we could because tomorrow was basically how well do you know each other and after that we had to run 5 miles. Then stay the night in a pack you don't know and when you woke up you had to socialize with that pack. All and all I was excited because we got to do my favorite thing….Asking questions! I was already brainstorming questions like what's your hobby, what pack do you want to live in, etc. But we decided to ask questions back at the lake.

Madelyn's POV

Once we reached the lake Allusion couldn't contain herself and started asking a bunch of questions. After we finished asking each other questions Allusion wanted to go to the 'Eagle Soars Cliff' I didn't even know what that was so I just followed the prancing wolf. From the questions I got to ask her I learned her favorite meat was rabbit, she has 5 sisters and 3 brothers the sisters were from a different litter, she doesn't like running much, and she wants to live with the 'Sakura pack'. They are a pack which the wolves are much like allusion kind, bubbly and funny. So I thought she'd fit right in there. Once we reached 'Eagle Soars Cliff' I could tell why Allusion liked it so much. The view was amazing you could the top of the Redwood trees and with the sun setting it all just looked beautiful.

A Good Human

Allusion's POV

Madelyn passed out on me and I didn't mind. I quite liked to cuddle if I'm being honest. From my questions at the lake I still feel like I haven't learned everything about her. Even though I don't have to learn a bunch of things about I want to because she's the first human who's made me feel good about myself. All the other trial humans I've had have just called me annoying or they were distant because I screwed up most of the time. One dude even hit me because I screwed u when hunting. But all Madelyn's been is kind. I wish all humans were like her. I decided to curl up and go bed while watching the sun fully set.

Madelyn's POV

When I woke up we were still at the Eagle cliffs. It still looked beautiful when the sun was up. I decided to wake Allusion up so we could start heading towards the next trial. When we arrived at the next trial we had to put 5 questions down on cards. Of course Allusion couldn't write so the pack Alpha, Gray wrote the questions for her. After the question thing we saw the score Allusion got all the questions right and I missed one. The one I missed was what is Allusions real name. How was I supposed to know? She never mentioned Allusion wasn't her real name. Her real name was Alion. I could see why she would change her name who names there pup a lion? But then all the other trials and humans were set off for the five mile. "I already hate this." I mumbled and Allusion must have heard because she snickered.

The Run

Allusion's POV

When I heard what Madelyn said I couldn't help but snicker. Then we were off there were a couple shortcuts around the course of the five miles and I planned to take those shortcuts. I decided not to go ahead of Madelyn so I stayed by her side until we came upon the first shortcut. If you cut through the trees and quickly go through the pond you cut about ¼ of a mile. So that's exactly what we did. We came out in the front and I don't think anyone else knew about that shortcut. But running like 5 miles was going to make you sore after. My paws ached just thinking about running that long.

Madelyn's POV

I was guessing since Allusion knew about that shortcut she would know about more. I was correct when we got to the hill part we took a diagonal and ran for about a half mile until we came out ahead of the group. Close to the end we took a hard right and came out right by the finish line and in the end we only ran 4 miles. We were so tired after running that long. Once we decided what pack we were going to visit we headed off. We were approaching the Anari pack and decided to camp right outside their border which was a beach. The Anari had a little island they controlled and they were known to be very welcoming. Once we set up we decided to go to bed because our legs ached and we needed the rest.
