Gorgeous Strangers/A Visit To The Old Pack/Still On A Journey

Madelyn's POV

I woke to a sudden growling.I looked around and no one was to be seen.I got up and thought to myself 'this is kind of weird.' I looked to where the growling could be and my only thought was valley.I started to run as fast as I could to the valley curiosity might literally kill me right now but I was still determined to find the noise.Upon getting to the forest I could hear the growling much clearer but it sounded like two wolves growling.It then went silent as I walked around until I stumbled on two wolves fighting.I wanted to get a better look so I crouched down and walked a little closer when a stupid branch snapped.Both the wolves looked towards the bushes where I was and then they shifted.I stood up and walked out with my hands up.They saw me and immediately relaxed a little "I'm sorry I don't mean to cause you harm I just heard growling and thought someone was hurt." They looked at each other and the taller one said "Oh you're ok we just thought you were someone else." I gave an awkward smile and asked if I could stay to watch them spar and the shorter one laughed and said teasingly "Aw does the female have a little crush?" I scoffed "As if." After they sparred I got to know them a bit better while they walked me back to our camp.The talker one was Kai and the shorter one was Xenon they were both tall but Kai was just like 2 inches taller.When we got back to camp Kelpie came rushing up and asked where I had been.

Kelpie's POV

When Madelyn turned up with two strangers it was a bit weird but I just made sure Madelyn was all right.They seemed like nice people and there wolves were just as gorgeous as their human form.Kai's wolf,Opi was a ginger wolf with deep brown eyes.Xenon's wolf,Gunner had a deep brown pelt that matched that my light brown pelt perfectly.I grew really found if their wolves.Dakota had gone out that morning to help a friend so by the time they got back it was after the gorgeous strangers left.

Dakota's POV

When I got back to camp there was familiar scent."Dakota the scent is from Kai." It took a second to remember but Kai was my childhood bully and had bullied me all through high school as well.It angered me to think he had been around Madelyn."Oh I sense some jealousy" "Shut up" I went up to Madelyn straight forward and asked "Madelyn why was Kai here and what did he want." "Kai and Xenon brought me here.Why?" "Because Kai is bad news." She looked at me and rolled her eyes l."Dakota no offense but I think there wolves are dreamy." "See they won Kelpie over.Tell me they didn't win you over." She looked at me confused "Won me over?" I shook my head "Forget it." I walked away I needed to clear my head."Who do those idiots think they are?They are trying to take my Kelpie!" "Jealous much?" "Dakota it's only fun when stuff happens to you." "Gee thanks Jinx."

A Visit To The Old Pack

Madelyn's POV

I don't know why Dakota seemed mad about Kai and Xenon. They were just friendly strangers and might I add they were beautiful but that's besides the point.  I decided since Dakota went off and was being a little dramatic that I would just go and see Marek and talk to some people from my old pack. Kelpie went with as she didn't want to be alone. When we first got to the pack of course we stopped by my parents house to talk with them. When I got there it was only my mother though she said father was out in the woods gathering plants and herbs. My father does this every week to have ingredients to make fresh meals he's basically a chef. We just kind of visited everyone. We visited the oracle Charlee, The warriors I had once known and just a bunch of other pack members and friends.

Kelpie's POV

We visited Madelyn's old pack and they were all cold to me but very nice to Madelyn. I just guessed its because they don't take to outsiders very well. It didn't bother me at all though because that's how my old pack was. But unfortunately my old pack died out and no one is in the Wilders pack anymore. After Madelyn visited her old pack we went back to the camp and decided since we put a hold to the mountain trip to wait for Madelyn to fully heal that we would continue today. When we got back to the camp Dakota was already there. So we told him of our plan to continue the adventure to go see Everest. Once we were all packed up we headed off. For the first hour everything was fine but I could tell Madelyn was growing impatient she kept sprinting ahead of us and speed walking. So I just started running and basically taunted them. Madelyn and Dakota ran right behind me and Madelyn seemed much happier with this pace.

Dakota's POV

Kelpie bolted ahead of us and taunted us while she did it so Madelyn and I were quick to try and catch up to her. After running and walking off and on for about 5 hours we settled down at the very base of the mountain. Kelpie went to go find food and Madelyn went to go find herbs or spices to flavor the food. I just went to go scope out everything close to the camp. "So Dakota..." "What do you want?" "I saw you looking at Madelyn like that earlier" "I was not" "Deny it all you want but I know you did it and you know it as well" "I don't know crap Jinx" "Sure...." Was it that noticeable that I was looking at Madelyn? Did Madelyn or Kelpie notice me staring? Do I look like a creep now? I probably look like a creep. God Dang it I shouldn't have been looking. Madelyn's beauty yet again has made me a fool.

Still On A Journey

Madelyn's POV

We ran for a while but eventually we started climbing the hills and stuff to get up the mountain.We reached a cliff on the mountain and decided to camp there for a while.I was very exited because tomorrow we would reach Everest's pack I don't know why but I did miss him and after me choking up at the choosing or whatever you want to call it I think I owed him a visit.I still felt guilty for that and I truly did miss the mountains the cold is my favorite climate and everywhere else is either hot or like a perfect middle.The cliff wasn't really that special just a couple trees and a view of the drop that would make anyone nervous.We set up camp and cooked the food we had stored.Kelpie wasn't too thrilled to be in the mountains though and Dakota was just being weird.

Kelpies POV

I strongly dislike the mountains dare I even say hate the mountains.They freak me out I'm used to being by the beach with flat ground no heights.But yet here I am tagging along with the stupid mountain idea.Heights freak me out so I don't know why I agreed to it.Did I think I could overcome it or?Honestly I don't know what I was thinking but I want to take my agreement back.Running up was fine but now seeing the drop it makes me want to chuck myself off.Not to mention Dakota kept staring at Madelyn of course she was too focused on running to notice but I certainly did.He didn't seem to like the mountains much either.

Dakota's POV

I didn't like the mountains that much but I definitely didn't hate them.I more so hated the idea of Madelyn going to a mostly male pack.It might be my jealously or it might be a gut feeling I can't really tell.But I don't think anyone saw me looking at Madelyn which I'm very thankful for I don't need to be known as a creep.While this journey felt like it went by quick it definitely didn't.But Madelyn was so exited to finally reach the pack.That night we all got cold so we huddled together and slept by one another.
