Prologue
Anaïs
Cold and silent.
A pain so cold. So silent. The bagpipes. The storm. The casket. Empty. She was gone. With the winds of the tempest. Never to be seen again.
She was gone. And the silence. So loud, you could hear nothing but the racing of your own hyperactive thoughts. Unwavering. Persistent. So damn persistent.
It was so cold.
Her body, wherever it could be, was cold. There's something about the way she went that was particularly harrowing. I was the last known person to see her. Hold her. My best friend. My sister. Katrina.
" I'm not joking anymore Anaïs. He's scaring me."
The incredulous look I had thrown her way was enough to silence those pleas. The pleas for my understanding. My belief. Katrina O'Hara was nowhere to be found.
And it was all my fault.

( this is of course just the prologue, I have to put at least 200 words so this is just gonna be a little waffle. Anyways, I’m Wyatt, this is my first book and I’ll try to update it as often as possible, obviously I have a life so it probably won’t be an everyday thing, but I hope you enjoy my writing!)
