FATE

I stared at the blank page in front of me,the cursor blinking mockingly as if to say “You have no idea what you’re doing” maybe I didn’t. Maybe I never did. I thought back to the plans I had meticulously laid out my life. Graduate with honors,land a high paying job,get married,have kids, check,check,check.But life had other plans.And now here I was,staring at a blank page,wondering how it all went wrong I remembered the nights spent poring over textbooks,the early morning commutes to internships, and countless hours spent building a career. It was all supposed to lead to something. But what? The truth was I didn’t know anymore. The script I had so carefully written for my life had been torn to shreds,and I was left with nothing but a file of fragments and a lingering sense of disappointment. I took a deep breath and began to write. The word flowed out of me like blood from a wound,a messy,imperfect and honest account of the life I had lived. It wasn’t the story I had planned to tell,but it was mine. As I wrote,the cursor stopped blinking,and the page began to fill with the unscripted moments,the unplanned detours,and the uncharted territories of my life.Its a story I was still figuring out,but I was ready to take the leap.
