Lucta's Pov
"Let's not talk about this right now," I said, changing the subject. "How's life here treating you all?"
The omegas began to share their stories, and we chatted for a while. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.
"Miss Lucta?" a voice called out.
"Yes?" I replied, opening the door to find Mr Stone, the driver.
"Ah, Mr Stone," I said with a smile.
"It's time for you to return home," he said.
"Home?" I repeated, confused. "What do you mean?"
Mr Stone clarified, "The alpha said I should bring you back home."
I turned to the omegas, who looked just as surprised as I was. "I guess I have to go," I said.
The omegas asked in unison, "What? Why do you have to leave?"
I explained, "I need to talk to the alpha about what happens to us and our park. You understand?"
They nodded sadly, and we said our goodbyes. I left with Mr Stone, eager to discuss our situation with Soren.
As we drove, I thought about all the questions I could ask regarding our pack. Has Soren seen any other survivors? How badly was our park damaged? Were we really homeless?
The ride wasn't long, and soon we arrived at Soren's place. Mr Stone announced, "Welcome to your home, Miss Lucta."
I stepped out of the car and walked towards this magnificent building. He called this a house? This was a castle. The type we saw in fairy tail.
“Wow” I said.
The doors opened and a man wearing a black suit came out.
“Welcome Miss Lucta” He said, sounding not too friendly and not too cold.
"The alpha, is in his office," he said “Please follow me”
I followed him into the house and the inside looked even better than the outside. How rich was this park to be able to afford this? They had statues made out of gold and other beautiful paintings.
My father's office, which I thought was luxurious, was a piece of wood compared to this.
Finally we came to a stop in front of a room. He knocked on the door.
"Yes," I heard Soren's voice from behind the door.
"Miss Lucta is here.” The man wearing black said.
“Please let her in." I heard Soren say.
The man opened the door.
“Thank you” I said walking in.
“My pleasure” he replied with a smile and then shut the door.
"Sit down," Soren said, walking towards me.
"Hi," he said softly, taking a seat opposite me.
"Hello," I replied.
"You must be tired, even after meeting the others," he said.
"Yes,” I replied. I was actually very, very tired, but also very energetic at the same time.
We exchanged pleasantries for a few minutes and then we got down to business.
"I know you are wondering how bad the fire is, right?" He asked
"Yes," I replied.
"Well, you will see for yourself tomorrow," he said.
"But was it really that bad?" I asked. I knew I had to see it, but I still wanted to know.
He stared at me and said solemnly, "You have to see for yourself to confirm if it was actually very bad or not."
"Were there any survivors?" I asked.
"The omegas," he replied.
"No, I mean, any alpha or someone else?" I pressed.
He kept quiet for a moment, thinking. "I'm sorry, Lucta," he said. "But we haven't found any other survivors"
So there was hope. Maybe there were actually survivors that we just didn't know. I knew the fire was bad, but we didn't die. Other people hadn't died too, right? The omegas were saved. We just needed to find an alpha, and then we could build our community back again.
It was fun being here, yes, but we weren't part of this society, and so many things felt strange to us. How nice the people were felt so strange.
I think we would have a very hard time fitting into this society. We definitely needed to go back. We definitely needed a leader. We didn't have one right now. We didn't have an alpha. We were just wandering omegas. We could be r***d at any moment.
I prayed quickly that there was at least one survivor, an alpha or a beta. I didn't mind, just someone that could help us get back on our feet, and we could rebuild our park again.
"I know this is overwhelming," Soren said, "but we can't come to a conclusion. We have to wait," he said. I bet even he knows, but just like the one that didn't want to admit it, so did he not want to admit it. I smiled.
"You're very tired” he said “I'm gonna call Felix, he will get you a room for the night”
“Yes please” I replied. “Can I go see the park tomorrow?”
“Are you sure?” He asked “It's not exactly as beautiful as you once left it”
I let out a sad laugh “Beautiful? Sounds like crap coming from an Alpha of a park like this”
“I'm sorry” He apologized.
“Please don't” I said “Your pack is beautiful. My pack looks like a wasteland compared to this and that's a fact”
“Luc…”
“Let it go, Soren” I said with a small smile. It wasn't actually a lie my pack was trash compared to how pretty he's pack was.
“Tomorrow we will go see your pack” He said
"Yes, thank you," I replied.
He pressed the button on his tablet, he had this square looking thing that lit up, and then in a second, the man wearing black, who I had now learned that his name was Felix, was at the door.
"Felix” Soren said, as Felix walked in, “Please get Lucta a room. Tomorrow is going to be a long day."
“Yes, Alpha” Felix replied with a small bow.
"Good night," I said to Soren as I stood up. Tomorrow was definitely g
oing to be a long day. It was the day I was going to confirm if anyone from our pack was alive.
"Good night," he replied.
