Chapter 15
Darcie filled her days with work and other activities to keep her mind off Daniel. It worked for the most part. She kept herself so busy she usually came home and crashed. She got together with Catherine and Alexia a few times. Neither women seemed worried about their men. They had complete faith in them. These women didn’t know the heartbreak of losing a loved one. They didn’t know what it was like to have their lives ripped out of their hands. She never wanted to experience that feeling again. Yet, she placed herself right back in the same situation.
The ladies went out at the end of the first week the men were gone, but Darcie didn’t feel like singing karaoke. She’d rather be at home but knew all she would do there was sit in the silence and worry about Daniel.
