Chapter 13 Quinn watched Doug walk carefully down the steps into the sub-basement, wishing she’d gone on ahead of him after all. Unlike her gut-clenching fear when she thought the furnace was grinding itself into jagged, soon-to-be-airborne pieces, now she was nothing but eager to get down there and check it out.
