"This can't be happening,you are not real" Reiss said backing up when she saw the man casually laying on their sofa. The man glanced at her once then went back to watching what was on the Tv. Her first thought was to call 911 and report a breaking and entering but then what would she say? 'Hello, I would like to report a breaking and entering, there is a man sitting on my sofa watching TV' she already questioned her sanity why give strangers the opportunity to do it to?. She took out her phone not taking her eyes off him and dialed Avalon's number. She told him to "get his backside over here immediately". Since the man wasn't doing anything she stood there watching him. It seemed like hours before the door opened revealing Avalon "If you are not dying I am going to kill you, what was so important tha....." he stopped as he entered the living room and saw the man laying on the sofa, he looked up at Avalon and then returned his gaze to the Tv. 

"Weren't you the one that came up with the no one-night-stands in the apartment rule?"he asked accusingly 

"I did not bring him here, he was just on the sofa when I came downstairs" she replied 

"Ev, xvex uz fviji qae eji fjach, qae sus pjuch  rii viji" the man spoke up for the first time but it was not a language they had ever heard before at least Reiss had never heard before. Avalon looked scared, it was too soon for this to happen but he had strict instructions. "jixejc sirac" Avalon replied which made Reiss look at him in shock but then it clicked and she started laughing. "This is all a joke right, you are pulling a prank on me" she erupted into another fit of laughter "For a second there you got me, nice one Vee" but then, he wasn't laughing. "You got me, its over. You guys can stop now" she tried again but none of them cracked. "You are taking this too far, I yield okay? You guys can stop acting creepy now"

"Ah, the princess is unaware of her origin, yes?"the man said in English. Avalon did nothing but clench and unclench his fist. One second the man was laying on the couch and the next he was beside Reiss with a lock of her hair in between his fingers. "JIXEJC SIRAC" Avalon shouted emitting a glow from his body. "You know the rules angel, only she who summons can return" the man said with a chuckle. At this point Reiss was fairly certain that this was not a practical joke and was shaking at the lack of distance between herself and the strange man.

  Avalon turned to her and spoke slowly, in a calming manner like he was speaking to a child "Reiss, darling I need you to trust me okay?" nod "He's not gonna hurt you, he cant afford to but you need to send him away so we can talk" nod

"Do not send me away, love, it has been a while since I've been out"

"Darlin' repeat after me. jixejc sirac"

A bright light came out of the man and he smirked as he disappeared, the light consuming his person. Reiss' legs gave out beneath her as he disappeared shaking with fear and disbelief that a human being just disappeared before her eyes and how the blighted hell did he move that fast earlier.

Her eyes drooped in exhaustion from both her mind and her body, guess that review was gonna have to wait. Before her head hit the ground Avalon moved at a speed as fast as fast as the man who just vanished, catching his childhood friend and lifetime responsibility and sighed. 

He placed a kiss on her forehead and lay her on her bed before going downstairs to make three phone calls that would change everything one to Myra, one to Tyrone and one to her father. This was gonna be a long talk, one he was hoping he would never have to give.

5 hours later Reiss stirred in her bed, the events of that morning replaying in her mind, this time she was sure this all happened, the disappearing man, the fact that Avalon knew about this man and how to get rid of him. She stepped out of her bed and looked to her laptop which was awaiting the review but then she heard voices from the living room, scared that the strange man had come back but then she heard Myra's voice and sighed in relief running to the room at the thought of something normal which had been absent for the past 24 hours or so. 

When she turned the final corner and saw the three people she had grown up with, her only family, she grew up in an orphanage along with Myra and Tyrone and by some luck the families that had momentarily taken interest in either of us, well they either took two of us at a time or two families that were living close to each other. When we were 14, Myra got adopted by Avalon's family and the four of us had been inseparable ever since. The thought of Avalon being someone other that the person I had known for the past 8 years was downright scary. "I didn't know we were having a get together" she said as she made her appearance known intentionally not meeting Avalon's eyes, she was hoping to confront him but not in front of the others. Myra looked at her sheepishly  "Reiss, we need to tell you something that is long overdue".
