005 (Slightly altered)

"TAKE ANOTHER STEP AND I WILL SHATTER YOUR ENTIRE NERVOUS SYSTEM WITHOUT LIFTING A FINGER" now I dont know about you but if I heard that after all the stuff Reiss had learnt that day I would straight up wet myself. The 4 of them stopped, the three hybrids knowing how true that threat could be then Myra spoke up "Jupiter is expecting us".

"Names?"

Myra, Avalon and Tyrone give their full names and a 4 digit number

"And the 4th one?"

She sighed

"Euphorbia Snow" Myra said calling Reiss by her middle name. The guard immediate came out of the shadow and went down on one knee "I apologize, I was not informed prior to your arrival" she was a tiny thing, not more than 5 feet in height and with the body of an overgrown carrot. Reiss was surprised at this behavior, why did she bow after hearing her name and not the others? and why did Myra call her by her middle name even though she hated it? She didn't have time to dwell on these as her friends started following the tiny guard who was shaking inside at the thought of what Jupiter would do to her for threatening his daughter.

Reiss was distracted by the houses she saw around her, they were modern if you could say that. Like mud houses but there we're duplexes and apartment complexes, it looked so simple yet extravagant at the same time. People, creatures were sticking their heads out looking at the new comers walking through their home. At the end of the street? was a mansion, it was made with natural materials just as the others houses around it but this one seemed to stand out more.

When the guard knocked on the door, only then did Reiss come back to Earth. She was plagued by different possibilities of what she was gonna see. The door opened but there was no one beside it. She followed as they walked inside taking in what was around her, no words were spoken as they ascended the stair and stood outside a room as the guard went inside. Myra turned to look at Reiss and sighed "I should probably say sorry but I doubt that is gonna change anything, just know that we had no choice on the matter and every moment we spent together was real. You'll always be my best friend even if you don't want us anymore" then she hugged her. The whole speech and hug was startling to Reiss, Myra was the least expressive one out of the whole group, her indifference was her most dominant trait.

The door swung open revealing a surprisingly mundane living room, after seeing the rest of the community she expected something......more. In this room was the guard that escorted them from the forest who was behind the open door, a man who doubled Reiss in size with a spear in his hand beside a big single seater couch where another man was sitting. His aura demanded power as he sat there staring at the four of them like he was expecting something and sure enough he received it. Myra, Avalon and Tyrone sank to one knee and bowed their heads leaving Reiss looking at them like they had grown two heads.

“U teg varehi xa rq mucl, rq tjaxilxaj, rq zeyvaej” they pledged

The man nodded and they stood up. His eyes found Reiss who stood behind her friends, he swept his gaze down her body then up again - not in a Pervy way - stopping on her chest where her necklace sat. "Euphorbia, my child, welcome home" he said, something that resembled a smile finding its way to his face. Reiss cringed again at the use of her middle name. So this is my supposed biological father she thought looking for a resemblance but finding none.

"So... why should I believe you're my father, for all I know you have been dead for 21 years" she asked placing a hand on her hip and c*****g her head to the side

"My child, why do you question your lineage?" he asked sitting up

"Oh I don't know maybe because my father died 21 years ago, people don't come back from the dead and again you have no proof" she retorted. Myra was shaking her head subtly at her but she ignored it.

"I had to send you away, you needed to learn what you could in the land of the mortals before you could come back" he said matter-of-factly

"Do you always talk like this" she starts "Also do you always ship off your newborns to live their lives as orphans or just me?"she finished taking a seat in one of the couches

"It was a special case my child but you are back now" he said gripping to the last strings of his patience

"You still haven't proven that I am your daughter" she said picking at her nails. She just came to know that demons live amongst them, this seemed less daunting compared to that

"Your necklace Euphorbia, let me show you something. Come to me" he said hypnotically, before she realized what she was doing she stood up and walked towards him. Her feet were moving but she was not in control of them. When she positioned herself in front of him, his hands went to her neck touching the chain of her necklace and she wanted to retreat. She was shouting at her body to move back but it didn't listen. Suddenly she snapped out of her trance stumbling backwards as if she had been shoved. The man let out a hearty chuckle "You truly are my child, only a 'Snow' will be able to break out of my trance with only a fraction of her power" he says "Don't fret my child, it is late, rest and we shall converse tomorrow" he waved a hand signaling dismissal and everyone cleared from the room leaving the two men. Reiss did not say anything as they were led to where they would sleep that night.

"Reiss, that was not a very smart move. We dont want Jupiter angry"

"No no, we dont want anything" they argued as they stepped out of thr room, being led to where they would sleep that night. She wondered why she couldn't just leave, she had no interest in claiming this reality, wherther it was true or not. She had work, and a whole life that she had spent years putting together, she wasn't going to abandon all that. If she learn't anything from all the fantasy novels she read.... she knew her life was not going to be the same again.
