Everything, was brighter, louder, more... alive. She had been so used to reading fantasy novels, Myra had gotten her hooked on them when they were younger, she Started to believe what they were saying... But then she thought Why would they lie to her, for years, for practically her whole life. Maybe they thought I wouldn't accept them... Like I'm doing right now, walking away. But this doesn't make sense. Reality is just an agreed upon illusion. No... If I accept this, I accept that everything was a lie. If I dont... well, that would be dumb, I just saw the unbelievable, I could account for the wings and tails and fangs and ears, but tiny people, the size of my finger, I don't think technology has reached there yet... She continued to debate with herself, and turned back towards the apartment, after an hour of aimless wandering. The living room was empty, so she slipped into her room quietly, and crashed, the thoughts accompanying her into her dreams. And she dreamt, of creatures she saw that night, and those she had never heard of, yet seemed to picture them so well. It felt realer than her own reality. She woke up with a start, seeing images from her dream, flashing in her head. She can't pin point exactly what the dream was about... She got out of bed. *END OF ALTERED PART* Her living room was once again populated by them. They looked to her as she stepped out of the hallway into their view. "Are you ready to believe us yet?" Avalon asked feeling smug. "What are you guys?" Reiss asked managing to keep her words from wavering "What?" Tyrone asked "You said earlier that no-one here is human so what are you guys?"she replied directing the statement to Avalon. Myra who was tired of keeping quiet stood up and flexed her right hand. A flame came out of the middle, levitating slightly above the surface of her palm. The flames were pretty to watch but deadly when going up against her in a fight. Reiss watched dumbstruck as one of her bff's did what she thought was impossible before her eyes. As if that wasn't enough Avalon removed his shirt and a pair of white wings sprouted from his back standing proud. She turned to Tyrone expectantly and calmly as if seeing your friend grow wings was normal. Tyrone scratched the back of his neck sheepishly "My abilities are not as showy as theirs" he replied to the unasked question. "We are still the same people that you have known all your life just a little different" Avalon said his wings folding back, becoming non-existent "You have wings, you can bring fire out of your hands and you can do God knows what. I have know three of you all my life and you didnt think it was important to tell me this?" Reiss ranted her voice getting louder and angrier after each word. "We were and still are under strict orders" Myra said still playing with the fire in her hands "Orders from who" she replied rolling her eyes "Your father" Myra said receiving glares from Avalon and Tyrone "You have to be specific" she sneered "Your biological father she means"Tyrone replied Cue harsh and sarcastic laugh "So you talk to the dead?" Reiss asked Tyrone. Her parents were dead, thats how she ended up in the orphanage "If only that were the case, your father is still very much alive" Avalon said with a sigh, wishing that statement was not true. "And we are taking you to him tonight" Myra said. She sighed looking at her closest friend who was wearing a brave face but was feeling anything but brave. Gaphs breeds had elementalist powers along with hidden gifts for the lucky few and she was one of those lucky few, she could feel emotions that people were feeling and also send off emotions which is why she always knew what to say to help in the past even when the person does not tell her what's wrong. Right now Reiss was feeling a lot of emotions ranging from hurt to disbelief to betrayal. She had been acting distant since Avalon called to tell them about the demon. It didnt take a seer to see that their relationship was not going to be the same after she found out the truth and although they were instructed not to get emotionally involved it was practically impossible to 'pretend' to be friends with someone for 20 years without actually becoming friends and in their case - family. "Reiss, I promise we will explain everything and tell you why we did all that we did and why we did not tell you about our out of this world abilities" Myra said sending of positive emotions in her direction as she moved closer to her "Now you need to get some sleep and we will wake you up when its time to go" Reiss' eyes started to close because of the extra spice in the feelings that Myra was sending to her and soon enough she was asleep. "What did you do to her" Tyrone whisper-shouted, his brotherly instincts coming out to play "I just gave her a little something so she could sleep, she wont have been able to sleep with her brain trying to process all the new information" Myra snarled at his reprimanding tone "Did you call ahead to tell him we were coming?" That question was directed at Avalon who nodded before taking Reiss to her room. When he returned with a bag filled with clothes Ty raised an eyebrow in his direction "We all know we are not going to come back this night or this week in fact and I'm sure she wont want to be sleeping in stranger's clothes. Let's get some sleep I have a feeling we wont be getting a lot of that tonight" ————————————————————————————————— Reiss was the first to wake up her mind surprisingly calm, she walked to the living room seeing the three of them asleep in the living room even Avalon who had a room in the apartment since they shared it. There was a bad with food and water on the kitchen counter. The sound of her walking around woke up the trio of snoozers. 45 minutes later and they are all pilled up in Vee's car. 27 Minutes into the drive with only the radio to act as background noise to the silence. About an hour later Avalon pulls up beside an abandoned building like the one they were at the night before. Ty grabbed a duffel from the trunk and again Myra led the way, coming to a door with no walls holding it up (That seems to be their M.O or something ) the windows leaked moonlight into the building. Myra muttered words under her breath again and then opened the door. Through the door was pitch black but they went through anyway. "You know this would be a good time to shine a light" Avalon said to Myra who rolls her eyes in the dark although no one could see it. She lights a flame in her palm and they saw the surroundings. They were in a forest - like environment but there were lights up ahead just as they were about to reach the clearing "TAKE ANOTHER STEP AND I WILL SHATTER YOUR ENTIRE NERVOUS SYSTEM WITHOUT LIFTING A FINGER"
