"... Tired of being subjects under the tyrannical rule of the council, a group of powerful supernaturals came together to create the ultimate weapon to be the downfall of the council. After years of trial and error, they succeeded. They named the weapon mission E" He stopped. "What does that have to do with me... You haven't answered my question" she asked, exasperated. "I have succeeded in making a weapon that was 1/3rd demon, 1/4th angel, 1/4th gaphs and 1/6th human. Mission E..... otherwise known as Mission Euphorbia" *Cue eerie silence* "So I was named after a war weapon?" she asked with an eye roll. "No, you are the war weapon my child." "WHAT THE f**k ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!?!" She exclaimed, jumping off the chair like it was on fire "I'm human, 100% human. You've got the wrong person mister." "The necklace you're wearing serves as a power dampener, it makes you feel human but you're not. Even a charm that powerful was unable to contain your limitless power." "Just shut up, I'm human, I can't grow wings or create fire balls." "You have more power than you think. If you let me, I could show you...we could be a family" "I'm human and it's too late now. If you wanted us to be a family you would never have sent me away." "Euphorbia, sit down and let me explain" "I'm tired of all the explanations. I'm leaving and if you know what's good for you, you won't follow me." "Daughter or not, you will not threaten me in my own home" Jupiter exclaimed, his voice echoing around the room. "Watch me", she stood up and left the room, slamming the door behind her. Eyes followed her as she stormed out of the mansion, through the community and into the forest. No one dared to approach. Considering the amount of energy emitting from her body, everyone could feel it, but not her. She was walking through the forest looking for landmarks to show her the way they had come but something made her stop in her tracks. In a tree sat a little boy not more than 7 years old, he had a death grip on the branch he was sitting on and he was looking at the ground in fear. "Hey little guy, what are you doing up there" she asked, but he didn't acknowledge that she was there. She moved closer to the foot of the tree, entering his line of vision. "Can you get down from there?" she tried again. He shook his head but he wasn't answering the question she was asking. She sighed, looking at the trunk of the tree, she grabbed the branches and climbed the tree, not looking down so she wouldn't chicken out. She reached and wrapped her legs around the trunk as she sat on the branch closest to him, praying it'd support both of their weights. She reached her hands out for him but he was hesitant to come to her since she was a stranger, but since it was either the fall or the stranger, he went with the stranger. One uncomfortable transition later, Reiss had the boy in his arms and was contemplating how to get down without falling. Once they reached the ground, the boy took off in a sprint and, like any responsible adult, she groaned in annoyance and took off after him. She didn't realize when she entered the community again, the back of the little boy was the only thing in her sights. She just wanted to make sure he was okay. He ran into a short woman hiding behind her. "Is... he....your...son?" She asked, stopping and catching her breath. "I'm so sorry if he was a disturbance. Please spare him, he's just a little boy" "I just wanted to check if he was okay, he was sitting in a tree in the middle of the forest. "she replies, looking at the woman like she had grown two heads. "He just came into his powers and he's having a hard time controlling them, he won't be a bother anymore" the woman's eyes kept darting around like she was scared. So Reiss took that as a cue to take her leave. It seemed like all these people were convinced that she was a crazy, overpowered war machine, but she was sorry to disappoint, she was human. When she got to the spot they had emerged from, she didn't know where to go, there was no door anymore, so there was nowhere to go from there. She was stranded alone in a strange place with no way to go home. Tears came to her eyes, but she cleaned them before they could drop. Reiss passed through the entrance of the small community for the 4th time this morning. It felt like admitting defeat when she entered her 'father's' home again, but she couldn't open a portal and that portal was the only way back to the normalcy of her past life. The guards semi-bowed as she passed, making her feel weirder than she already was. She pushed open the door to Jupiter's study without knocking, meeting him in the same position he was when he left. "Have you come to apologize, Euphorbia?" he asked as she stepped in. He seemed more interested in the folder he was holding than in her. "I want to go home" she replied, not bothering to correct him on the name. "This is your home child" he replied, looking up and keeping the file aside. "My home is on the other side of that portal" "You dont belong there, there's a reason that you always felt out of place with do the humans, the same reason why you made a family with the witch, the elementalist and the angel-born. You feel a connection, that connection is something you can feel with everyone here. Stay Euphorbia, this is your home."his voice was like candy, luring her senses into his trance with a promise of belonging, the sense of belonging she had only felt with her friends, but those friends were the same people that had lied to her, her whole life had been a lie, their relationship had been a lie.
