"I will not sign any letter!" I refused flat-out, without a second thought.
Our mating bond was already past saving anyway.
Kelsey's face immediately darkened. His Alpha aura surged again, and his vertical pupils flashed in his eyes.
The raw aggression in his tone was impossible to hide. "They are my family!"
"So what?" My disappointment deepened. "Just because they're your family, I have to forgive them no matter how badly they hurt me?"
"If they had succeeded yesterday, do you know what would have happened to me?"
I took a sharp breath and said every word clearly. "I would be humiliated and ruined. Madison would watch, feeling secretly smug. Hattie would film the whole thing and post it on i********:—all just so I wouldn't get a penny in the divorce settlement!"
