Patience's POV
Kelsey's body stiffened violently. His eyes widened, like he suddenly remembered something.
"Patience, I didn't realize that call was..."
He rushed to explain, sounding panicked. "I was busy with something else then, so I just..."
"You didn't answer my call because, deep down, you never truly cared about me."
I cut off his excuse. "And that's exactly why your family doesn't respect me at all!"
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry!" He took a step closer, his voice full of remorse, repeating the apologies over and over.
"Even without yesterday, I have no feelings left for you, Kelsey. Let's just end this peacefully."
I said it as casually as if commenting on the weather.
