Bella POV
I stare at my cell then back to the kids. They all look okay. The call ends.
“What happened?” Eli growls, taking in the scared state of our kids. The phone starts up again. my eyes dart to the bright screen lit up with Jase’s name. I curse under my breath before swiping the phone off the couch to answer it.
“Now really isn’t a great time, Jase,” I tell him. I don’t mean to have this much attitude, but I need to pick between his call and this explosion. Considering my kids were a part of the latter, I need to focus on that.
“At the coffee shop?!” Eli yells.
“Bella! Now needs to be a good time! We’re being attacked.” His word floor me. Eli must have heard him since his head whips in my direction. I put the phone on speaker, and place it on the table.
