“Bella!” My screams mix with everyone else’s as we attempt to get her attention through the roaring flames surrounding her. Her fire has always been a little volatile, but I have never seen it as out of control as it is tonight. Even once she realized she was out of control, she couldn’t stop the fir from rising higher, and burning hotter.
Then, they just burn out; dropping away quicker than they came, leaving nothing behind but scorched earth. Bella slumps to the ground in a plume of grey smoke. Jeremy sprints to her fast enough to catch her head from slamming into the ground. She's alone now though, I swear I saw Eligos walking into the flames just a minute ago.
