"Baby I swear to God if I get you I will kill you!" The old man yelled as he ran after the teenage girl who just broke his window. Baby climbed the fence and was about to jump down but suddenly froze when she saw her mother staring at her. She laughed nervously she slowly got down. "Hey mum." She giggled and her mother gave her a look. "Baby!" The man yelled her name and she flinched. "Baby is that Mr Matthews? What did you do this time?" "Hmm mum I have to go now, see you later." She rushed her words and took to her heels immediately, her mother flinched when the man ran past her. She sighed knowing the man is just wasting his time and would never catch up with her. Baby jumped over a table and the man was about to do the same but ended up hitting the table, she stopped and laughed at him, the man stood up again and they both continued their marathon race. Baby Smith happens to be a teenage girl who is sixteen years and lives in a local area in California. Baby is an illiterate, a clumsy and stubborn girl, she is half a rascal and has a good heart. Baby's father died when she was five years old and since then life has been hard for them, her mother sells fruits for a living and she also has a partner in crime which her name is Emily. She finally lost the man and breathed heavily, she sighed and walked towards Emily's house. Emily's family are a little bit richer than them, they have been friends since they were ten, the whole neighbourhood knows them a lot. She got to Emily's house and instead of going through the front door she climbed the window and jumped into her room. Emily flinched on seeing her and she laughed happily. "Why are you this sweaty?" She asked passing her a bottle of water. "Ohh Mr Matthews chased me half way here." She replied gulping the water. "What did you do to him?" "I did nothing serious, I accidentally broke his window when I was watching Spongebob Squarepants." "How?" "His kids were watching it so I was peeping and then suddenly an ant walked on my foot so I panicked and accidentally hit the weak window, it really wasn't my fault." "So whose fault is it?" "The ant of course, what else?" She asked sitting on the bed and Emily smiled. "Well forget about that now and guess what?" Emily giggled and sat beside her on the bed. "What? Mrs Philips is finally dead?" She asked happily and Emily gasped. "What? No, why do you want her dead anyway?" "So her garden will be free and I can steal every fruit I want." "Okay whatever but it's something way bigger." "Ohh I know, Mr Phillips is dead." "What is wrong with you Baby?" Emily laughed and she shrugged. "Maybe it will be better if you just tell me." "Okay then, Jeremy is moving to California." She giggled and Baby screamed loudly. Okay, Jeremy happens to be a celebrity at his young age, he is loved by everyone cause he sings and dances, he lives in different countries but his family is based in California. Jeremy is actually Baby's number one crush, there are other crushes but that will be later. "Hmm Baby I think you should stop screaming." Emily said and she stopped screaming but kept giggling happily. "Oh my God I have to meet him!" She exclaimed and Emily giggled. "And he will be performing a concert very soon." Baby giggled and hugged herself tightly, she just can't wait for it to happen. "I have to go now, mum will be worried about me." Baby said and walked to the window. "Don't get in trouble." Emily yelled as she jumped out. "I will try." She yelled back and started running home. Baby smiled happily as she sang one of Jeremy's song and walked home happily. She suddenly missed her steps and fell down. She shrugged knowing that she is just clumsy. She finally got home and ran inside, she got inside and met her mum talking to five of their neighbours and she recognised them as people she broke stuff from. Especially Mr and Mrs Phillips, she hates them so much and seeing them here makes her so annoyed and scared. "Hey mom." She called with a smile and ran to her room. She started pacing around her room waiting for her mother to yell her name. "Baby!!" She yelled and Baby sighed. "Am dead." She sighed and slowly walked out of the room to their small living room. She found her mum fuming in anger and she smiled at her. "What do you have to say for yourself?" She asked sternly. "I love you?" Baby muttered and she groaned. "I paid a hundred dollars for everything you broke in their homes, that was the only money I made today and it's all gone, I thought that money will feed us for a week Baby, why do you keep behaving like this?" Her mother yelled at her with tears in her eyes and she felt bad immediately. "Mum am sorry but those people hates me so much and..." "No they don't just shut up, you allowed an old man chased you down the street cause you broke his window when watching Spongebob with his kids." "Mum I swear that one wasn't my fault." "So whose fault is if?" "An ant, the ant climbed on my leg when I was watching and I panicked." "Ugh Baby are you even getting my point?" Her mother groaned. "Yes mum I am." "No you are not, I need that money for our drugs and you just let me spend it on useless things, you are so irresponsible and am tired of your nonchalant attitude towards everything!" She yelled in tears at her and that made Baby sighed sadly. She knew her mother needs her drugs more than anything also her and she just made her loose it, tears clouded her eyes and she sniffed. "Am sorry mum." She apologised and her mother shook her head before walking out of the room. Baby cried silently and sat on the couch, her mother watched her from the entrance and sighed. She knows her daughter to be an emotional person. Baby has a weak heart and it has caused problems for them but not always, it's part of the reasons why they are poor. Her mother sighed knowing she shouldn't have insulted her that much. Her mother moved closer to her and hugged her. "Am sorry baby." "Am sorry mum."
