What a night!

Anna knew he’d be pissed, but she didn’t care, she looked hot! She chose the dress specifically to make him see her, but she also wanted others to notice her, she wanted to make him jealous. Willow was pleased with the results so far, even she was getting fed up with the way he was treating her. They’d both decided that tonight was going to be the decider in there relationship, she wanted to have him or she wanted to be rejected so she could move on with her life, she’d already been waiting for four years.
She headed to the bar, she didn’t really drink but felt like tonight she deserved a glass of champagne. She sensed someone coming up behind her, a scent was tickling her attention, Willow also sat to attention, there was something that she couldn’t put her finger on. A huge man stood next to her, he was taller then Lex, equally as gorgeous with the most mesmerising blue eyes, his skin was tan and his hair dark, he was beautiful. She took a sip of her champagne and turned to face the party, there was so many people, almost someone representing every pack in North America and Canada. The man next to her turned to her ‘enjoying the party?’ His voice was the right kind of gravelly and deep ‘I’m not sure yet’ she replied honestly ‘what about you?’ He took a sip of his beer ‘well that depends?’ He replied ‘on what?’ He was smirking down at her showing his brilliant white teeth, her stomach did a mini flip, nothing like what Lex did to her, but no one else had ever made her feel like this ‘if you would honour me with a dance later?’ This could be what she needs to get Lex to take notice ‘that could be arranged’ she smiled back up at him, she notice there was flecks of grey and brown in his blue eyes, she could feel Willow licking her lips, his eyes trailed down her body, flashing gold showing her his wolf. The hairs on the back of her neck stood on end and a shiver ran down her back, what was going on?
Their attention was drawn to the stage, Alpha Samuel had stepped up and silence fell around the room. Anna moved away from the bar and moved up some stairs to be able to watch from the side, hidden in the shadows, she wanted to be able to watch him, without him noticing her. This way she could really see the way he moved, she could see every expression throughout the ceremony, his face was serious it meant a lot to him to undertake such a responsibility. Someone moved behind her, she turned to see Helen, Lex’s sister moving up the stairs, she clocked Anna watching her and looked embarrassed, almost ashamed. Odd Anna thought, it was basically mandatory to be present for this, especially as family of the Alpha?
The ceremony came to an end with Lex marking the book of Alphas in blood, everyone raised a glass to the new head of the Blue Moon pack and then the party could really start. Food and more drinks came out, the lights dimmed and music started playing in another room, it sounded like a good band! Anna made her way back down the stairs, she spotted Kit waving at her through the crowd ‘Hello gorgeous’ he slurred, he was a little bit drunk ‘Hello you, fancy taking me for a dance?’ She’d never danced before, but something was different tonight, she could feel herself leaving her old, sad life behind, she knew she was going to get answers and it made her feel like for the first time she was in control of her destiny. She has literally been waiting on Lex for the last four years to decide if he wanted her, but tonight she’d decide if she wanted him. But right now, she wanted to dance with her best friend!
She was having the best time, she’d danced not only with Kit but with others from different packs, she’d drank more then she ever had before and she felt giddy, the food was delicious and the surroundings gorgeous! She felt a delicious shiver down he spine and a large hand came around her waist, she spun round expecting to see Lex, but came face to face with the blue eyed stunner she met at the bar earlier ‘oh, hi’ she smiled up at him ‘hi back’ he growled ‘I’m here for my dance’ he held his hand out to her and she didn’t even second guess in taking it, he spun her expertly around the floor, making her giggle when he dipped her, she was having the time of her life ‘so, can I get your name?’ He’d taken her over to a quieter part of the floor ‘Anna, and you are?’ His muscles rippled under her hands in his arms as he moved more gracefully then she thought his sized would have allowed ‘I’m Brandon, Alpha from the Winter moon pack’ she knew he was an alpha, not just from his size, but he had this aura around him that commanded you to take notice of him, that drew you to him. He led her to a seating area next to the dance floor, a few couples were dotted around chatting and getting close, he couldn’t take his eyes off her, she had this pull towards him that she couldn’t explain, she wasn’t even thinking about Lex for the first time that night. They talked about everything from their favourite music to how she started her business, he was hanging on her every word, no one had ever taken such notice of her before. He kept touching her, just light brushes of her skin as he moved to scratch his hair or grab his drink, each one sending shivers through her body.
The bubble was burst just after midnight Kit came and found her ‘sorry Anna Banana, Lex wants a word’ she took a deep breath and said her goodbyes to the specimen beside her, it was time to face her future, one way or another…
