A balcony that has a view of the Santorini sea, decorated with red roses and candles will be ready for her. After three hours and Elpida's team's help, everything is ready. I texted Elpida to send Phoebe here, and I'm waiting. “Filipppos?” I hear her voice, and I turn around. She wears a white fitted dress, that beautifully hugs her body. “Hey” “What is all this?” “Something for my beautiful girlfriend,” I say, and she smiles. We walk to each other until we hold hands “Let's dance before we eat.” “Ok,” she says with her sweet voice. “Everything is so beautiful,” she says “Like you,” I say and I kiss her The song is a version of her favorite singer starts to play Ellie Goulding How Long Will I Love You “How long will I love you? As long as stars are above you And longer if I can How long will I need you? As long as the seasons need to Follow their plan How long will I be with you? As long as the sea is bound to Wash upon the sand How long will I want you? As long as you want me to And longer by far How long will I hold you? As long as your father told you As long as you can How long will I give it to you? As long as I live through you However long you say How long will I love you? As long as stars are above you And longer if I may How long will I love you? As long as stars are above you.” As the song comes to an end, I kneel in front of her, and she looks at me with wide eyes “Fill, what are you doing?” “Phoebe, baby, I can't find a song more suitable to these words I want to say to you” I take a deep breath and continue “I do not know how many and why they left, but I came to stay. And I do not care if you still can not believe it. I care that you feel it. You feel it in those kisses of mine on your forehead when you close your eyes and exhale with relief. You feel it in my arms when you wrap your arms around me and lock yourself in there. You feel it in those incessant laughs of ours when your whole face is illuminated.” She is already crying “I came, and I will stay. And I have no hesitations. In your eyes, I see a different world, unique, and in your hands, I feel this intimacy like I have never felt before. In your smile, life smiles on me, and in your words, I hear the truth that I thought everyone had forgotten by choice.” She left my hand and wiped her tears. I take the box with the ring from my pocket, and I open it “Will you marry me?” She is smiling, and tears run down her cheeks “Yes,” she says while nodding. I put the ring on her finger, and I kissed her. She rests her head on my chest “Your heart is pounding.” “I was nervous,” I say, and I kiss her forehead “Why?” She asks, looking at me “I was afraid. Maybe you would say no,” I say, and she giggles. She caresses my cheeks “You are what I dreamed of, what life owed me. The man who inspires me, is the man I admire. The man through whom I saw the best version of myself—my own man in my joy and sorrow. In my madness, in my nerves, in my good, in my bad. Everything smells of love. Your kiss, your caress, your hug, the way you look at me. Ah, this look of yours,” I chuckled, and I kissed her nose “It is full of me, and it shouts to me how much you love me. Soul and body, I’m completely yours. With a promise from the bottom of my heart. I will be by your side in everything.” “I love you, foxy.” “I love you too,” she says, and she kisses me. With joy, I return the kiss We sit, and we start eating. I had covered the food, and when we were ready, the waiters brought the food. The sunset was perfect and magical as always. Phoebe never is tired of looking at it. She is always hypnotized by it. “I love the look on your face when you watch the sunset,” I say, and I hold her hand from across the table “It's stunning. As if it came out of a fairy tale.” “Well, I don't want to brag, but we have one of the most beautiful sunsets on earth. They travel from all over the world to see it.” I say, and she giggles “Yes. That's true,” and she sighs “What is it?” “I want to dance.” “Why don't you say so,” I say, and I stand up. She takes my hand, and I lead her to the space that we danced in before. We danced until late at night; she had a beaming smile on her face. How happy it makes me that I'm the reason for this smile.
