Zondinal nervously ran his hands down the front of his shirt and overjacket. The brief moment of panic passed when he remembered he had placed the vial of the virus securely in a compartment in his quarters. Having traveled from Thruskler, knowing his presence would be required above Windmere, he had rendezvoused with Gorgace on Rondian, and retrieved the last sample of the virus Banff had developed. Zondinal occupied a higher rank than Gorgace, so there was no argument when he informed the Commander of Rondian that he was meeting Banff, and thus needed the vial. Gorgace appeared relieved to no longer have the virus in his possession.
