Meeting new people
I stand in the crowded hallways filled with so many people, looking around me, I see the different faces of the students. I know that I came here for one reason and only one. To find the last vampire. Before they have the chance to turn more innocent people to vampires. I'm so sorry. Where are my manners? I'm Alex Campbell and this is my story on my mission to find and hunt the last vampire before they can harm anyone else. "Hey! Watch it newbie," a sports jock says after running into me while playing football in the hallway with his friends. "Sorry," I mutter, not wanting to pick a fight. I stand there curious wondering how so many of these kids seem to have a social clique but when I think about it I realize that most if not all of these kids have been here and that they're not the strangers, I am.
A girl with glasses and her hair in a messy bun approached me looking a bit shy or nervous. I couldn't tell the difference. "I'm so sorry about John, between me and you I think he thinks he's better than everyone else, that's why he purposely bumps into people and makes them afraid," she had told me and explained John's history of tormenting other students and pulling similar pranks on people.
"It's ok it wasn't anything too serious that I couldn't handle, by the way, what's your name?" I ask her and at first she looks confused then she starts to laugh. "Oh yes my name I'm sorry I didn't tell you that sooner, my name is Ashley Walker, what's yours?" she responded to my question with such a positive and sweet attitude I was sure if it could be her or not. "Alex Campbell, but Ashley is a very pretty name," I answer, also adding an additional compliment just to seem friendly.
"Thank you! I've also always really liked the name Alex," she says and I can't tell whether she means it or if she's just being nice but by the way she says it and the way she looks I think she means it. "So Alex, would you want to be friends?" Ashley asks, looking back over at me after checking the time on the clock. "Oh um yeah sure I actually don't have any friends from here so having you as one will probably make this more bearable," I jokingly state and she starts laughing.
Just then the bell rang for classes to start and I realized, I now need to get myself together and start taking this hunt for the vampire seriously.
