Chapter 5

"What if it is?" his expression still not changing. He just looked at me, not phased. I there too, just staring at him. His words like a knife to my heart. I just nodded at him, and slowly backed up. Okay, fine. Hurt me like this. I wasn't going to show him any emotion, none of my love. He is the last to ask for it. I turn around, and without looking back, I head for the door. "Callie, wait." I hear him get up from the bed and walk to me. He grabs my wrist, and he turns me around. With my free hand, I make a fist and punch him straight in the face. He falls back but quickly stands up. I could see his face go to anger and shock. "Don't. You. Ever. Touch. Me. Again. Ever." I said emphasizing every word. How dare he say such a thing and then come and think it would be all okay? "Callie," he said, partly shocked and sorry, but there was still a glint of anger in his eyes. "NO. Touch me again and you will see!" I yelled at him and stormed out of his room and slammed the door behind me. Instantly, Mia, Jacob, Aspen, Matt, Aiden, and Sawyer came out behind the doors to their rooms to see what had happened. Damian opened the door again. He and everyone just stared at me. I looked back at him, hurt in my eyes. I saw that he had a black eye where I had punched him. It hurt me to see him injured, even if it was just a punch. But it made me feel worse knowing I gave it to him. Yet, he caused me much more pain than just a punch. I continued walking without looking back. I walked into my room, closing my door, and headed to the bathroom. I cleaned my face up. Whipped away the stray tears. I hopped in the shower. I walked out wrapping myself in a towel. I walked into my closet and changed into a black skirt that went higher than mid-thigh. A strapless black crop with my black leather jacket. Then added some black ankle strap high heels. Went back into the bathroom and added mascara and lip gloss. I let my hair down with its curls. Added some of my favorite perfume and walked to the door. When I walk out to the hallway, I find Aspen, Aiden, Matt, and Damian there all talking in front of the stairs. I stand there and they stare at me. Damian tries to make eye contact, but I just look at Aspen. "Baby girl, I will be out with Ace, Kai, and Declan." I look at Matt. "Matt, I will be with them for the weekend. If you need me we will be at Ace's beach house out on the island. We will fly back on Tuesday night." I say, not wanting to look next to him. "But they leave Tuesday morning? Come on Cal..." he said, like telling me not to be petty. "Matthew, he made up his mind. If I come back and he hasn't said the words, the words that will end this," I pointed between him and I. "Then I will say them myself." I couldn't help but feel hurt and hate when I said this. The words that could end it, are basically you saying you reject them, and you will feel this shatter in your heart, and it will be over, the bond broke. You only have two weeks from the time you meet to say these words. I don't want to, but he made his bed, and he is laying in it. And there is only one way to stop it, which would be to finish the mating. He looked shocked by my words. "Cal, please, don't do this," Aspen said worriedly. "Aiden, it was nice to meet you, hope to see you again. Make her happy. Aspen. Please don't leave until I come back. We need to talk." I said. I know she will have to leave with Aiden, but not before we talk. She just nodded. I gave Matt a hug and descended downstairs. I walked out the door and waited for Declan to pick me up. I had called him to pick me up before getting in the shower. Ace said he wanted to leave town for the weekend, so we thought we all needed this. Declan had just texted me, he was driving through the gates. As I see Declan's light from his motorcycle, and the engine roar, the door opens behind me. It was Damian. I ignored him and walked up to Declan that had just parked. "Callie wait!" he yelled. I still ignored him and continued to walk. "CALLIE" he growled, so loud I could feel the ground grumble. He had used his Alpha command. I couldn't ignore that. Carly was whimpering. She didn't like it that her mate used that tone with her. I slowly turned around and narrowed my gaze at him. He walked over to me, really pissed off. Declan had now got off the bike and stood right behind me. "What Damian?" I said, rolling my eyes. "Don't you roll your eyes at me! We need to talk," he said, through gritted teeth. I could feel Declan tense up now. He was ready to stand up to Damian. "Babe, you good here?" Declan asked, not focusing his eyes off of Damian. "Yeah, I'm good," I said, putting my arm on his shoulder. Damian let out a growl as I did. I nodded at Declan. He walked back to his bike and waited there for me. "Callie, you can't just leave like this. We have to talk," he said looking down at me. "No, Alpha Damian. We do not have to speak about anything." I took a pause. "Hope you have a safe trip back," I said and turned on my heel, and walked back. Declan handed me the helmet, I sat behind him, and I got comfortable. "You know the thing that really pisses me off even more? It's the fact that you found your mate, yet five seconds later, you are about to hook up with the biggest slut of the pack." I let out a chuckle. "You have three days to think out your choices, and if you don't man up and face your actions, I will say it myself." I put on my helmet, put my arms around Declan's waist, and he drove off out of pack territory.
