Chapter 8

All-day yesterday I finished packing and said my goodbyes to everyone. Damian, Aiden, Aspen, and I had dinner at my parent's house. As a goodbye dinner. Aspen and didn't want to leave our parents, but we had to. We had to go to bed early because we would be leaving at seven in the morning that way we arrive before dinner time. Mostly everyone would be sleeping when we leave. Mia was staying and in a few days, she would go back for her things. Matt would go along with her. I hated leaving without saying goodbye to the boys, but they weren't answering their phones or were too busy to come over. They said they would visit in a few weeks. Maybe after my birthday next week. I woke up the next morning. I took a quick shower and did my normal routine. After I finished, I walked into my closet and got the outfit I left out. Everything else was already packed up in my bags. It was a light green backless min dress. Over it, I put on my white ripped jean jacket. Lastly adding a pair of tan ankle strap heels. This wasn't really my style, but I wanted to look presentable. For some people this was casual, but for me, this is what I would wear to look extra nice. I finished off by letting my hair down and applying little make-up. I then walked around my room, making sure everything was packed up. My bags were all by the door. I grabbed my off the shoulder handbag that was white, and I put my phone in the other hand. I looked at the time. It was 6:48 am. As I walk to the door, Damian slowly opens the door and looks at me. "You look beautiful," he said with a smile as he looked at me up and down. I couldn't help but blush at his compliment. "Thank you," I replied softly. He walked up to me and planted a kiss on my lips. I instantly wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling closer to him. He wrapped his arms around my waist. After a few minutes, we got interrupted by a knock on the door. "Come in," I said. Damian kept his arms around my waist, and he leaned down and rested his forehead against mine. "Sorry to interrupt, but the cars are waiting for us," Aiden said. "Thank you, Aiden. Do you know if Aspen is ready?" I asked him. "Yeah, the drivers are coming up for everyone's bags. I will be downstairs with Aspen if you guys need us." Aiden said and walked out. "Come on. We have to go." I said giving Damian a kiss on his cheek. "Babe, I know this isn't easy for you. And I don't like to see you hurting like this. I will bring you back as much as you want, any of your friends can visit too." Damian said. "Thank you. But as long as I am with you, I couldn't be happier." I said and gave him one more long kiss before we started taking my things down. After everything was all packed up in the two cars that came for us, it was time to say goodbye to Matt, Blake, and Sawyer. We were all outside. In the same spot where we had first met everyone, and now Aspen and I were the ones leaving. Aspen seemed so sad, yet excited. She didn't want to say goodbye to Blake, but she knew she had to. He seemed so sad as well. They have been best friends since the age of five. "I am gonna miss you A," Matt said as he hugged Aspen. "Me too, M. Don't you ever forget. You are my best friend. Forever and ever." Aspen responded. Then Matt and I locked eyes. "Come here you," I said as I pulled him to me. I hugged him so tight, I didn't want to let go. "You always have a home here, remember that. You all do." Matt said after we stopped hugging. "Put more attention to things, and leave the paperwork. Leave that to Rex." I said with a giggle. I then went over to Sawyer and hugged him. "Take care of this place. You know this one can't do it on his own." I said looking over at Matt. Everyone laughed, and Matt rolled his eyes at me. "Take care of him, will you?" I said as I gave Mia a hug. I didn't really know her, but she was family. She was Matt's mate. "I will." She said and nodded. We all got in the car. Jacob went in the first car with Damian and me in the passenger's seat. Aiden and Aspen went in the second car with the driver. Thirty minutes later we made it to the airstrip to get on the jet. Damian and I sat in the back on a couch. I laid on him as the jet took off. It was a seven-hour flight. We would be arriving at 4:30 pm. Damian said from the airstrip to their territory, it was a forty-five-minute drive. We would get to the house about thirty minutes before dinner, giving us time to settle in our rooms. 7 Hours Later. We had just landed. The drivers were putting all the luggage in the two cars waiting for us. I looked and made sure I didn't leave anything on the plane. I was only able to sleep for five hours. Aspen had fallen asleep an hour ago, and Aiden didn't want to wake her. It was so cute how Jacob had offered to carry her into the car, but he said he would do it himself. He carefully picked her up and walked off the plane. Aiden was 5'10, while Aspen is only 5'5. She was pretty short for her age. But yet I am 5'8. We got our mom's genes here, she is 5'3. Damian is 6'3, way taller than me. We get in the cars and start driving towards the pack territory. "So tell me about the place?" I asked Damian. He was on his phone texting, someone. "Uhhhh...." He said, still texting on his phone. I decided to leave him alone, and I looked out the window. Five minutes later, Damian grabs my hand. "Well, it's a pretty big place. We have all the same things as you had in Crescent Moon. We even have a mountain where during the winter, it snows so much that everyone goes skiing and tubing. Winter is always the best time of the year for us. My parents love throwing balls, galas, parties, everything." He said with a smile. The moment he mentioned his parents, it's like I just started to freak out. he obviously noticed because he squeezed my hand, and leaned over to give me a kiss. "My parents are going to love you. They've been waiting for a very long time for me to find my mate. So of course they're going to love you. Who wouldn't?" He said with a big smile, and put his arm over my shoulder, bringing me in closer to him. I just smiled and listened as he told me more about the pack and the land. A while later, we arrived at the front gates. After they let us in, it was a ten-minute drive up to this big mansion. It looked like the packhouse by the number of people going in and out. The driver stopped, and Jacob got out of the car. "It was nice to meet you, Luna Cassie. Damian, I will see you tomorrow morning. Have a good evening." Jacob said, and closed the door. He went around to the trunk and got his bags. I didn't ask why we weren't getting and just waited to see what was happening. The driver continued to drive away from the packhouse. There was a dirt road to the right, leading deeper into the forest. A few minutes later, we arrived at this two-story house. It was pretty big but smaller than the packhouse. This must be the Alphas house. "You don't live in the packhouse?" I asked Damian. "No. My parents built a house for them to start a family when I was two. It's a pretty big house. Has fifteen rooms, a movie room, a pool, a garden, a patio, a porch, and it has a lot of space." Damian explained. "It's beautiful," I said as the driver parked in the driveway right in front of the steps to the porch. "Okay, so I didn't tell my parents about you and Aspen. Aiden and I wanted it to be a surprise. So just wait here." He said and got out of the car. He went around the car and over to the steps where two older looking people walked out the double doors. The man looked a lot like Aiden and Damian. The woman was more like Damian, but a few facial features were the same as Aiden's. Damian and Aiden greeted them both. I could perfectly hear what they were saying. "My boys. How was your trip?" The woman asked. "It was pretty good. We brought you guys some presents." Damian said with a smirk and he and Aiden walked to the cars. Damian opened my door and held my hand as I got out of the car. "Mom, dad. This is Cassie, my mate. And that is Aspen, Aiden's mate." Damian said as he walked me over towards his parents. I looked over to Aspen, and she looked just as shy as I did. I didn't know what to say. "Oh, my goddess! You two are just beautiful. Are you related or something?" Damian's mom asked. She was so happy and shocked. "Yes, they're sisters," Damian said. I opened my mouth to respond, but Damian spoke for me. That really annoyed me. "Damian, I have a mouth, and I know how to use my words," I said eyeing him. He gave an awkward giggle and scratched the back of his head. As if not knowing how to respond. "I like you already!" Damian's dad said laughing. We all laughed, and I felt shy. "I am Rosemary, but everyone calls me Mary. And this is Edward, but you can call him Ed." Rosemary said. "It is so nice to meet you both," I said with a smile. "Well, come on in. Dinner will be served in twenty minutes. Boys take them upstairs, and get their things." Ed said and they both walked into the house. "I'll have the driver take your things up, give me a minute," Damian said and walked over to the driver. "Callie, I wanted to ask if it was okay if Aspen stayed in my room with me?" Aiden asked me. "Um, if it's okay with her, and your parents, then I don't mind," I responded. "Okay thank you." He said, grabbing Aspen's hand and walking her inside. "Okay, the driver will bring your things up in a minute. But here is one of your bags, in case you need it?" Damian asked. It was my bag with all my make-up, toiletries, and other items. "Yes thank you," I said and we started walking up towards the steps. We walked up to the second floor, and down the hall to the last room. It was a huge room, with dark grey walls, a white headboard against the wall, floor to ceiling windows with a glass door out onto a balcony. To doors, one lead to the bathroom, and the other to a walk-in closet. In one corner, there was a couch, with a glass coffee table, then a tv on the wall. The bathroom was pretty big too. It had two sinks, a walk-in glass shower, a big jacuzzi tub, a toilet on the opposite side, and cabinets next to it. "If you don't like it, I can call someone to do whatever you want to it. I know it may not be what you were expecting, but as long as you feel comfortable, I don't mind. Like I know i-" He was on a rant so I stopped him before he continued. I kissed him, biting his bottom lip, and wrapping my arms around his neck. He wrapped his arms around my waist and squeezed me tight. "I love it. This is exactly what I expected, nothing less." I said and gave him a hug. "I just want you to feel comfortable." He said and kissed my cheek. "Just as long as I sleep next to you, everything is perfect. Now let me go use the bathroom, and we can head downstairs for dinner." I said, gave him a little peck on his lips, and walked over to the bathroom. After I finished, I fixed my hair a bit and took off my jacket. I laid it on the bed. When I walked out, Damian was on the phone. He seemed pretty serious, so I waited patiently. "I said I want it done by tonight. Don't make me have to call you again." He yelled through the phone and hung up. "Is everything okay?" I asked him. "Yes. Let's go. He said and walked to the door. He didn't even wait for me, and he continued to the stairs. He was obviously not fine. I walked behind him, trying to give him some space. When we walked into the dining room, everyone was already sitting at the dining table. Damian sat at the opposite end of the table from his father, and I sat to his right. Aspen was two seats down from my seat, and Aiden in between her and his father. Mary was across from Aiden. The cooks brought out the food, and we began to eat dinner.  All throughout dinner, Mary and Ed asked Aspen and I questions about everything.  After dinner, I helped Mary do the dishes while Aiden and Aspen cleaned up the table. Damon and Ed had gone upstairs to the office. I knew it was serious because Damon was serious the whole time. Once we finished, Mary went to her room, Aiden and Aspen were watching TV in the living room. Damon was still in the office, so I decided to go explore outside in the yard. I walked out, and I instantly fell in love with the beautiful garden. It was like a maze in the shape of a wolf's head. I slowly walked around, observing each and every flower, amazed. Then I headed towards a swing underneath a huge tree up on the hill overlooking the house. I just swayed back and forth. I must have fallen asleep because I woke up, and the sun had fully set, and the bright moon was glowing down at me. I went back inside, to find Aiden and Aspen asleep on the couch. I turned off the TV, along with all the lights, and walked upstairs. Walking past Damon's office, I still heard his father and him talking. I kept walking towards our room. I pulled out my pajamas from my suitcase and went straight to bed. I was so exhausted. It took me a while to fall asleep. Not until I felt Damon wrap me up in his arms did I fully go to sleep.
