Elouise POV Jack bounded up the stairs. His brown curls bounced in front of his face and his attire made it seem like he had planned what to wear today. It was probably the loud noises that alerted him. Since he doesn’t live here, he didn’t have to hear it from early hours of the morning. And I had told nobody what was going on as I spent days looking through magazines and online stores. As I used my will to cloud to my shame. This was my own project. One I knew I was ready for. I leaned against the hallway wall with my arms folded. I watched the men lay down the murky laminate floor tiles this morning. Soon after the walls were painted asher with an exposed brick feature wall. All that was left to do was build the furniture.  I had expected my gut to tighten and my heart to clench
